I made this shopping bag for my mother in law

Greeting creative community how are we all doing today I hope we are all doing fine I’m so happy to post my handwork in needlework community today.

I made this shopping bag for my mother in law and this bag is made of Gele fabric and most of our Africa mother do tie it very well before but now they no longer tie it again so my mother in law has a lot of it at home so I thought of creating this bag with it and it came out very beautiful.

After making this bag i thought of making another one to sell to my customers has a side business I just hope I will get plenty order.

I will love to show the cutting and sewing step of this bag , I firstly cut on paper to get the size of bag

I measure 15” length by 15” width then I measure 2” width and 10”length after cutting it join the both side of the fabric together then I cut 2” upward and 2” width by the side to get the down depth of the bag .

After cutting the side part I open it up then join it together then I sew the handle then I iron it and it came out beautiful and unique .

I went further by creating a side pocket at the out side of the bag and it look good on it .
