CROCHET HAIR BANDANA 👱♀️
Hello everyone. How are you guys doing. I hope you are in the best of your health and fitness. We're almost towards the end of the week, which means weekend is near . Yay! I kept my promise and now I'm back early to share another project with you❤️. Great news for this weekend is that my sister is coming back home . She had to move abroad like 6 months ago . So she's coming back home after 6 whole months. I'm very excited about it . We have so many things planned. Also I made this bandana .
Well I made it for myself but unfortunately my sister saw it and now she wants it 😂. So me being a good sister I decided to give it to her. Actually as I told you guys in my last post that my university was off due to some issues and I was so bored at home. (The issues are resolved and I'm supposed to be at university again but I took a day off again 😂)I had nothing to do so I decided to crochet. I didn't had any ideas though so i looked into Pinterest and after scrolling for half an hour I came across a cute girl wearing bandana. And I knew that what my next project Is going to be so I made it .
It actually involves almost the same pattern all over . For this bandana I have used double crochet mainly. The things you need to crochet this are quite basic such as I have used a light purple/pink shade acrylic yarn, also a maroon colour yarn (to make the scallops at the border to add design and shape to it) ,a pair of scissors, darning needle and a 3mm crochet hook.I didn't took many pictures because it was almost the same pattern again and again. We start by making a magic ring and then a chain 3 . Then make 2 double crochet (DC) into the magic ring . Now make a chain one and three more double crochet (DC). This makes the base of your bandana and now you follow the pattern till the end . I made total of 16 rows.
Now to add a bit of the design to the Bandana I added scallops at the end. I chose to make it with maroon but you can make it with the same colour as well. I made scallops by making four double crochet (DC) into the space and making slip stich in the middle. You have to make it all the way to end. I wanted to make the straps with maroon as well but I was short of yarn and I know how I made it to the end 😂. It was a task it self. Anyways for the straps I did 61 chain and did slip stich. I made single crochet along the length of the bandana to give it a nice and clean look and made other strap on the other side as well. This was the final result.
And also I blocked it to soften it. Blocking is basically washing your project to soften the fiber of the yarn . You have to wash it very gently without pulling your stitches. let it air dry overnight. And in the morning it was so soft and ready to wear .
I really liked how it turned out. I gave it to my sister 😪. I hope you guys like it . Do let me know if you have any suggestions in the comment box below. Also I'm thinking of making a "baby stuff" series as I told you guys in my previous post that my friend is going to be a mom soon. Let's see what happens next . I'll keep you guys updated.
Take care guys ❤️
Love you 😘
Bye bye 🫂
