Why use Ecency?

For the gamification (rewards system) of social media engagements.

The points redemption system recently changed this year, so I felt it was necessary to go over the best path forward for users to max rewards and highlight the relevance of this frontend.

With the removal of the original boost, it almost seemed like the points system wouldn't be worth using anymore but the boost+ is a viable use of points that promotes long-term account growth.

While the change from boost to boost+ may seem like a downgrade it is better for the long-term growth of the platform and more efficient for ecency to leverage their HP position.

You can also trade points for post promotion but due to the nature of hive rewards most posts don't get voted after the first hour, so promotion isn't ideal for every post or at all if you want to grow your HP.

What is the best way to get points?

Ecency rewards all social engagements on the hive platform but there are more rewards based upon the action type.

The most valuable engagement being your contribution through content created and published through Ecency.

High quality posts can take hours or more; this action can be made a lot shorter by creating a post format to follow.

When you make content be sure to engage other creators who are also active and seek their camaraderie to build better community in your niche.

This can be done by making relevant tags in your content or by engaging with others content with high quality comments.

The second most valuable engagement being comments are the meat of this strategy and combined with upvotes and reblogs they can add up to a bounty of points.

Comments are valuable for building a community around your content or niche so this strategy can be applied to help your favorite niche of content as well.

It is important when creating content in this space to engage with other creators who are already successful in your niche and become familiar with their winning content format to adopt and adapt your own formula for success.

HIVE/Ecency Maxi Strategy

To begin your day always check and claim your points to wake up the system.

Then you will want to head over to the Discover tab and make a note of the floor level for the most active daily leaderboard and plan to make a minimum number of actions to rank.

This is usually around 20-25 actions which can be broken down into 14 upvotes, 5 reblogs, 5 comments and 1 post.

I prefer to engage within communities to promote their growth, but you can also farm upvotes in the new post section upvoting content with reputation scores of 55+ before the first hour is up.

To further the success of curation efforts comments must be relatable, supportive/kind and reblogs will always follow comments to increase reach and establish a deeper connection between yourself and the creator.

All daily activities(upvotes,comments, reblogs) will be logged and reported in a daily post with hive stats, tags/links for the appropriate accounts/posts that you engaged with in the comments/reblogs and an invite to follow your curation trail to support your content.

In summary of the strategy presented

You can build your hive account on ecency(Reputation, HP, Followers) without original content by promoting your favorite content creators, communities and niches using this strategy.

Maybe this isn't anything new to you, but I haven't seen anyone discuss it in this way and it is something that I will be trying to implement to improve my posting habits and reputation score.

Following a post format this maxi strategy could be achieved in less than one hour.

Using this strategy will net around 50 ecency points per day according to the leaderboards.

With the boost+ floor price being 1500 we can expect to be able to boost once every 30 days!

You will be rewarded with one week of 200 HP delegation when you trade 1500 Ecency points.

Account stats, analysis and projections

My account is currently growing at 3 HP per month from curation and 5 HP per month from content creation plus my HPUD contribution from hive game rewards of 25 HIVE.

I hope to increase my monthly author rewards to 30 HP which is dependent upon more content creation, but I don't see much room to increase my curation rewards without further investment which is being achieved with content.

With a goal of 1000 HP this strategy has potential to reach that goal in less than a year with dedication to daily content creation and promotion of the curation trail and fanbase.

Possibly sooner with ongoing dedication to onboarding and better presentation IRL.
