Happy Saraswati Puja
And Happy Valentines Day
What makes this day special for you ? Today is a special day for us, as it's Saraswati Puja or Vasant Panchami, and on this day, we worship the goddess of knowledge, language, music and arts. This is an important festival for people who pursue these fields, mostly students who are in schools / colleges. Wearing new dress on this occasion, is also part of the celebration, so there is a little task for us to shop it ahead of the celebration.
Our ladies did organize everything well, and everyone is given the prasad after the puja completes.
The main devotee or Yajamana who sat on the ritual or yajna this year.
These festivals as part of our rich culture are the occasions which provides an opportunity to gather at one place, meet each other and spend some nice moments. We almost have one or other function every month, which is real socialization, and at least our generation, are happier with that instead of digital socialization. Do you observe anything from this photos ? I realized after some time, while capturing these. Our ladies have sprinkled an extra glamor to the event with their yellow theme - all of them have planned to wear yellow or near yellow costume.
After all the celebration, they deserved a photo shoot in our garden.
And while we celebrate our rituals / functions , we also respect other culture, so here are some photos dedicated for all the valentines in the world.
Wish you all a happy Valentines Day.
There are cultural festival on the evening as well, but unfortunately its a work day for me. Saraswati Puja is celebrated forty days before spring, so it marks the start of preparation for Holi, the Color festival - another big festival that everyone enjoys. We also had a discussion to do a roof-top party as the Winter is getting over - hope we will hear some positive news on that.

Nice to see you people are celebrating this religious festival.
Women in Yellow dresses look nice.
In a digital world, you people are lucky that you have the opportunity to gather on these types of festivals.
I think, our generation would find it difficult to completely switch to the digital world.
Your culture is admirable, I love seeing your traditions, especially because they involve young people, a way to ensure that customs are kept alive. Happy Saraswati Puja day dear friend @sanjeevm

The women's dresses were very beautiful and vibrant. This is the first time I've heard of this celebration, and it looks very fun. It's a shame you are working, but I hope you can attend the ones coming up.
