Sometimes joy can't be described as one, you feel it and, this is one of those moments. I have more than enough reasons to be happy and this is the reason for this publication, here I tell you.

We are four sisters and, for a long time, we haven't all gotten together. We had everything guaranteed to see each other again together, but, at the last minute, one of us could not be there, because health problems prevented her from attending our older sister's house, the place we went to, to support our sister. who is going through a dangerous illness and has already received some radiation and chemotherapies.

We wanted to have gone earlier, but this treatment ruined her hair and she didn't want to be seen like that. Only her daughter who lives in the same municipality saw her without her hair. Now, her hair is white, due to gray hair, and she must stay with that color because hair dyes harm her due to her illness.

It was a very rewarding trip because the three of us lived in that municipality. Now, only my older sister lives there, because the rest of us live in Havana, the capital of Cuba.

At my sister's house we enjoy ourselves, we visit our parents' grave, we help my sister clean the house, we work on cleaning her yard and we help her with the chores that she always does on a daily basis.

We did all the things that give us pleasure, we cooked our favorite dishes and we abused, these days, our most beloved drink: coffee.

One of the things that caused us the most fun was helping our sister find a chicken that, according to her, was laying eggs, something so necessary and nutritious for her health.

What joy when she found the chicken and showed in her hands some eggs that would be part of our next breakfast!

We spent seven spectacular days, confirming that there is nothing like being with family and, in this case, we met three sisters who, combined our ages, exceed 200 years of life. But, we still love each other very much and, despite the geographical distance, there is an emotional closeness that keeps us alive.

I hope we can all meet again and, not that I am pessimistic, but time passes and, each time, it becomes more difficult to travel and be together.

That's why I value this trip and what it meant to all of us so highly.

A veces, la alegría no se puede describir como una, la siente y, este es uno de esos momentos. Tengo motivos más que suficientes para estar feliz y esta es la razón de esta publicación, aquí les cuento.

Somos cuatro hermanas y, hace mucho tiempo, no nos reunimos todas. Teníamos todo garantizado para volver a vernos todas juntas, pero, a última hora, una de nosotras no pudo estar, pues, problemas de salud le impidieron asistir a la casa de nuestra hermana mayor, lugar al que nos dirigimos, para apoyar a nuestra hermana que está atravesando por una enfermedad peligrosa y ya ha recibido algunas radiaciones y quimioterapias.

Queríamos haber ido antes, pero, este tratamiento le tumbó el pelo y no quería que la vieran así, solo su hija que vive en su mismo municipio la vio sin su cabello. Ahora, tiene su cabello blanco, debido a las canas y, debe quedarse con ese color porque los tintes de pelo le hacen daño por su enfermedad.

Fue un viaje muy gratificante porque las tres vivíamos en ese municipio. Ahora, solo mi hermana mayor vive allí, porque las demás vivimos en La Habana, capital de Cuba.

En casa de mi hermana nos disfrutamos, visitamos la tumba de nuestros padres, ayudamos a mi hermana en la limpieza de la casa, trabajamos en la limpieza de su patio y la ayudamos en los quehaceres que de manera cotidiana siempre hace.

Hicimos todas las cosas que nos dan placer, cocinamos nuestros platos preferidos y abusamos, por estos días, de nuestra bebida más querida: el café.

Una de las cosas que más gracia nos causó fue ayudar a nuestra hermana a encontrar una gallina que, según ella, estaba poniendo huevo, algo tan necesario y alimenticio para su salud.

¡Qué alegría cuando ella encontró la gallina y mostró en sus manos unos huevos que formarían parte de nuestro próximo desayuno!

Pasamos siete días espectaculares, ratificando que no hay nada como estar con la familia y, en este caso, nos reunimos tres hermanas que, juntando nuestras edades, sobrepasan los 200 años de vida. Pero, nos seguimos amando muchísimo y, a pesar de la distancia geográfica, hay una cercanía emocional que nos mantiene vivas.

Ojalá nos podamos volver a reunir todas y, no es que sea pesimista, pero, el tiempo pasa y, cada vez, se hace más difícil poder viajar y estar juntas.

Por eso, valoro tan alto este viaje y lo que significó para todas nosotras.
