All American Homecoming-A Very Beautiful Series(My honest review)
It was around September in 2022. I remember being literally obsessed with this series,All American Homecoming. I had just finished secondary school(high school) and I was being idle at home, with nothing more than house chores to do with my life, asides reading. I was never really a movie person before 2020 so it was either to read a book or go to sleep. I can/ could never get tired of sleeping. I thank God every day for the gift to sleep. I genuinely appreciate it.

Back to All American Homecoming. This was/ is an amazing series made up of about three seasons. I vividly remember dropping it cause I couldn't see where to download some the remaining episodes of the season 2 and I was practically losing my mind due to college clearance and stuff so I had to stop it. Didn't go back to complete it again ever since then. Alright, fast forward to 2024, I'm almost used to the stress and pressure of life and school. It came back to me. Like it knew when to fade and reappear in my life. I had to start all over from the season one, to get and remember some vital details but it was worth it and I felt so much nostalgia, I felt so old.
Alright let's move to what the series is all about. And yes,it is a series. The thing about series is that when you start one, it's like starting a new chapter in your life. You're curious, excited yes, but a little bit nervous of what is to come. And when it's all over, you find yourself sad and a little bit...lonely cause that chapter(series) had just come to an end.

All American Homecoming is a black teen sport drama that revolves around Simone Hicks. Simone is a young and talented tennis player and we get to see her navigate her life at Bringston College. Simone tries to learn how to balance her athletic performance, academics, personal responsibilities and relationship. Then there's the love triangle she had with Damon Sims and Lando Johnson. If I were in Simone's shoes,i wouldn't know who to pick also. They both have their pros and cons and both men are fine asl. But please do give me your opinions if you've seen the movie as I don't have any experience or understand the inner workings of a real relationship. Engage me in a conversation in the comment section.
I'll go on now. As Simone navigates her freshman year, she finds herself drawn to the famous Damon Sims but their budding relationship gets complicated at the arrival of Lando, Damon's Rival. Simone just had to go for that man.. such a behavior:D

Throughout the series,we observe the characters grapple with deeper issues, racism, classism and social injustice. It was just a really good series. Heard it's a spin off for another amazing series,All American. That one,I have not seen but soon. Soon.
If you're looking for something chill, something to take you away from reality a bit, something to make you feel a hint of joy, I'd recommend this.
Unlike most teen drama, this isn't cringe. It has a sense of maturity to it and gives this awareness about what life is all about. You get to see alot of culture about black people. Very very beautiful. I definitely recommend this.
Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas Eve!❤️
