Sports, Burgers and mushrooms!

My afternoon nap is one of the very few things of my daily schedule I do not like compromising. It actually boils my blood if I have to give it up for something absolutely non sense! And that is precisely what disrupted my much awaited "power nap," absolute non sense.

In all fairness, most of the shit people in my neighborhood do are utter nonsense. At times I have wondered whether I should take up a research project trying to find out exactly how and why people of this neighborhood turned out as stupid.

There was some sort of congregation happening, which is all fine and everything. But what is not normal is to put out massive speakers all over the area so that not a single living creature can go without hearing it. And man the voices were loud! At one point I wanted to bang my head into the wall out of sheer frustration. And to cap it off, the transformer burst into flames (quite literally) right after sunset. That was the breaking point for me.

I had to get out of this godforsaken are as soon as possible. So without much hesitation my wife and I were off! We took a three-wheeler to Dhanmondi and walked around for a bit. The weather cooled down nicely in the evening . We were looking for a place to have dinner and my wife pointed out "Mad Chef."

Mad chef is pretty famous for its burgers and we have been meaning to try it out.

It was a nice spacious restaurant.

We went for the spicy garlic mushroom with some fancy sauce on the side for our starter.

It was surprisingly good, quite spicy and tangy! The sauce had quite a strong mustard flavour which we both liked.

One of the most extraordinary games of cricket was on today and we got ourselves a seat quite near the TV. So we had a good view of the match as we had our starter and waited on the burgers. I am still in awe of what the actual fuck we witnessed today and how on earth Australia managed to pull that win off! It was quite literally, as Pat Cummins put it, Ridiculous!

We did have to wait a fair bit for our burgers, despite the place not being extremely busy. But once they were there on the table, it was worth the wait!

I don't remember the name of the burger, it was quite a fancy name. But it was a beef burger with mushrooms. And the choice of bun was garlic coated brioche bun. A couple of bites into the burger and I had not a shadow of doubt in my mind this was THE best burger I have ever had. And I have had my fair share of burgers over 30 years of my life. And by a fair share I mean A LOT!

This burger from Mad Chef is by far the one that stands out very very easily.

The buns were fresh and soft as a bun I have ever had.

Where most burgers go wrong in my opinion is they put in too much sauce and mayo thinking it'll make the burger juicy. That really puts me off and I find it disgusting. The sauce needs to be just adequate, sometimes a bit less is also fine, but never too much!

What really makes a burger juicy is the patty! And Mad chef got is perfectly right! There was no bit of mince that stayed raw, neither did it become dry at the center at all. And it was one very thick patty. That is a difficult feat to achieve!

Mad Chef, you've got yourself a returning customer for years to come!

Superhuman is just about right!

We all knew maxwell has that insane explosive batting ability. But no one really thought he'd actually pull that off. That too, he played with cramps for long parts of the innings.
