First Time Trying Sagobi Satay
This time I will visit and invite you to taste one of the dishes that is very popular in my area, namely the city of Lhokseumawe. Where we have a delicious meat-based culinary, this culinary has been around for a long time and has several branches in this area. Well besides that this one culinary is famous and is a favorite food for local residents and tourists from outside the region and even outside the country.
This satay culinary is popular with the name Sate Sagobi, located at Jln. Medan Banda Aceh Kandang, Lhokseumawe City I don't know the exact history of the establishment of this satay, what is clear is that this satay has a distinctive taste with peanut sauce and their flagship soup.
I visited around 2 pm, I planned to have lunch, but because it was very late I had to eat a lot this time, so that in the evening I did not eat again. When we got there, we immediately ordered 2 servings of satay package complete with rice, and also the soup.
But there is a unique thing that makes me really like satay here is that the satay always uses fresh meat. And you know everything is served hot, when we order they burn the satay again and season it with sweet soy sauce to make the satay perfectly cooked and hot when served. Even the soup is still hot so the quality of the food is still very much guaranteed.
They burn satay still very traditionally on a charcoal stove made of thin iron then burned coals from charcoal with the help of a small fan above it to keep the fire burning so that the satay will cook evenly and of course quickly.
Not long after all the food I ordered was served at the dining table where I sat. Here we were served satay with 2 portions with a portion of IDR. 30,000 complete in the form of 1 white rice satay 6 skewers stirred in peanut sauce and 2 portions of meat soup.
I think this is a very large portion and enough to fill me up, the rice is so much I shared it with my friend I was afraid I couldn't finish it. For drinks, they also provide complete we ordered a regular drink the price is cheap only IDR.15,000 per glass with original fresh fruit.
The satay is very tender, and cooked overall, most importantly the marinade is very absorbent. As an Indonesian citizen, it is incomplete without applying satay in warm white rice. Both are very tasty, the best combination in the dish, just look at the thickness of the peanut sauce.
The original taste of peanuts with aromatic orange leaves, sweet, savory and of course spicy is very fitting. I spooned the sauce and then enjoyed the satay meat with peanut sauce bite by bite. I feel that the peanut sauce is just right, the sweetness is not overpowering so that we don't get bored of enjoying it.
Not only the marinade, now is the time to taste soup or soto from long-cooked meat bones. Of course it is served hot, well in my area satay is identical to being served with soto or liquid soup like this, but the liquid has a very good taste, it tastes right, savory, a little spicy. The most interesting thing was the aroma of spices that wafted from this soup. I inhaled it with a spoon sipping how delicious this dish was.
After tasting the satay, peanut sauce and soup, I applied it all to the white rice they prepared. Yeah without rice everything is incomplete, mouthful after mouthful made me forget I had finished several skewers of satay, even my friend had to share it with me. This is the best satay I have ever tried since I tried it near my work.
After enjoying the satay, I also ordered a drink, which was orange juice, while my friend ordered shaved cucumber. Uhhh everything looked fresh and it went very well with the spicy savory satay rice. The juice they made was not too sweet, so I deliberately asked the waiter for a little sugar. However, the juice was indeed naturally sweet and it seemed to have a deep color. The shaved cucumber was very fresh and they didn't add any syrup so it was indeed pure from the fruit.
Well besides that the place is also comfortable, although it is on the national road and busy, but the place is very good to relax, they have two floors to relax while tasting satay so you don't need to worry about stopping at this place if you visit Lhokseumawe city, there are many branches here so you can enjoy it anywhere.

The place is not fancy at all but I guarantee the satay will make you addicted. This is my first time trying satay here and I think this will be my favorite satay list. The taste can't lie it's delicious, For those of you who visit Aceh, especially to Lhokseumawe, don't forget to stop by this satay. Very tasty, and has an authentic taste most importantly the satay is not tough at all so that all groups will be comfortable enjoying it.
