Chicken Arrabbiata Pasta

I hope you all are doing great. As you guys know I love cooking. I am also fond of experimenting new dishes and when I came through the recipe of this pasta, I was literally dying to try it out.

It is an italian dish which comprises of tomatoes, red chilli, chilli flakes and garlic. It’s famous of its spicy flavour hence is also called spicy tomato sauce pasta.


However lets begin with the recipe:

Ingredients:
🐓 Boneless Chicken: half kg
🍅 Tomatoes: 7-8 large sized
🌶️ Red chilli: 2-3
🧄 Garlic: 1 whole
🌶️ Chilli flakes: 1tsp
🫑 Capsicum: 1 medium sized
🫒 Olives: suitable amount
🍝 Penne Pasta: 400 grams


Recipe:

Firstly the recipe starts by preparing the chicken for cooking.

The first step is to cut the chicken into fine cubes.
After cutting the chicken we have to add our spices to the chicken so that the chicken is marinated.
Firstly we’ll add a teaspoon of salt.

And then we will add a teaspoon of black pepper to the chicken.

And then we’ll add a teaspoon of chilli flakes into the chicken.

At this point the chicken is marinated, now we will let it sit for about 2-3 hours. I covered the bowl and put the chicken into the refrigerator for 3 hours.
But if you want to cook it instantly you can do so.

After 3 hours, I started cooking that chicken.

Once the chicken is done. I dished out the chicken and used the same pan to make the tomato sauce.

For this purpose firstly I took the garlic and red chilli and started grinding them to make a paste.

I took my mom’s grinding pot and started crushing it.

After grinding it it took the paste like consistency. Then it was the time to add that paste to the pan.

Now I simmered it for a while on low flame

We don’t have to cook too much that the garlic becomes brown. So soon after adding garlic we will add chilli flakes to the pan.

We will cook it for a little while so that base of the sauce is ready and then we will add tomato paste into the pan for this purpose we have to take some tomatoes and blend them out.

Now we’ll blend these tomatoes and add that tomato paste to the pan.

After letting the tomato sauce cook for a while on low flame, we’ll start adding our spices.

Firstly we will add the salt, almost a teaspoon.

Then we have to add a teaspoon of black pepper.

Then lastly some chilli flakes will be added to the sauce.

Now we will let the sauce cook for a while on low flame until the consistency is thickened.

Meanwhile we will boil our pasta side by side.

And save some pasta water.

Now it’s the time to let the things combined. Firstly we will add some chopped veggies to the sauce, such as capsicum, green chilli, olvies.

Now we will add our prepared chicken to the sauce.

After that we will add the pasta to the sauce.

Lastly we will add the earlier saved pasta water so that the pasta remains juicy.

Mix the pasta into the sauce gently.

Now your pasta is ready serve it by adding some herbs onto it.
