Tofu Bomb That Makes My Brain Explode With Spicy Flavor

The spicy taste is challenging.
I've always enjoyed the challenge of spicy flavors that made me fall apart and feel relieved at the same time.

Habits that shape us. And the spicy taste used to make me feel better. It may sound absurd, but it's the truth. The spicy taste makes me feel relieved and better and I feel like I can get rid of the negative energy inside me.

If when my sister is dizzy, she drink chili water🤣, I am not much different from her. The difference is I'm not crazier than her. I only enjoy chili through food, not directly like her who enjoys chili only with water.

When we feel dizzy, or have a cold, we are used to eating spicy food to make us feel better. We feel our colds heal faster, also we feel relieved from the dizziness.

I've had a cold for the past few days. I feel like eating some spicy soup to make my head feel better. So I looked in the refrigerator, and for a while, I was looking for ideas for what meal I can make this time served with a spicy taste.

The main character of this meal is tofu! With chili powder and tomatoes. This is tofu and tomato soup. But because I need the strength of the spicy taste, so I rely on chili powder to give it that extra level of spiciness!

Chili powder, you can skip it in the soup ingredients if you can't accept the spicy taste in your body.

As a side dish for the soup, I use healthy mung bean sprouts. Fyi, maybe beans sprouts are popularly used as a mixture for soups, especially noodle soups here.

If you have microgreens, they are healthier as garnishes and there is no need to cook the microgreens, just add them just as they are served.

THE INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams of tofu
  • sprouts or micro greens
  • 3 medium-sized tomatoes
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 500 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

HOW TO MAKE SPICY SOUP

Ready to cook! Heat the cooking oil, then add the onion and garlic slices until fragrant.

After boiling, add tofu and sprouts. Cook for about five minutes (depending on your taste for the texture of the sprouts).

I'm satisfied with this soup whose spiciness explodes inside of me! Don't worry, I'm fine and it just makes me better. My cold feels lighter.

If without chili powder, this soup also tastes delicious because of the tomato taste. No need to be spicy if you want to try this recipe. Make it according to your taste.

It is also important how our food looks, as well as the taste and that it is healthy - I have no doubt.

Lovely colors!

I love spicy foods myself and here in Ghana, it's associated with drunkards. Will love to try this but don't know what tofu is

Tofu is fermented soy beans. You can make tofu by yourself from soy curd and lemon. :)

Oh I love tofu but I can’t handle spicy foods. Lol! I can manage a little, but too much will make me cry. 😂
Loving the presentation especially the photos with the chili powder and the last photo showing a part of the bowl with two “slashes” of green topping.

Ahaha if you cant handle spicy, just use soy sauce and garlic flavor. It would be great option too :)

😃That’s sounds like a good substitute. I can handle a little spice but sometimes I’m not sure how far I can go. I used to be able to handle more but my taste somehow changed.

!LOL Here some of us also use spicy food to open up the nostrils or at least help with a cold 😅.

This soup looks to be full of flavor and doesn't require much effort. I'll have to remember the recipe as the ingredients are also not hard to find.

In your living area, you can find tofu?

Yeah, we can find it at the market places and even in stores, because of the Chinese and Javanese population in Suriname. I'll have to ask my mom where she buys hers, because I also don't like to buy it everywhere.
