Resilience in the face of adversity

Before Christmas last year I had an incident that drove me to an edge, where i thought life is not worth living again.

I was traveling back home for the holiday's by road transport when my properties and my original documents where all stolen from me, it might not be a big deal for most persons but looking at where I am coming from and what I had to go through to acquire most of those things has been a roller-coaster ride, with headache, sleepless nights, prayers, and financial resources.

I was deeply encouraged by my family and friends about life, there were lot's of 'what if' from my end and as well as theirs, what if they had killed me, we would not be talking about documents and properties, what if I decided not to travel that day, what if i decided not to enter that vehicle, but the reality is am alive and well so I have to live with the 'what if's'.

Looking at some of the incidents that happened within the end of last year, on the 29th of December in south korea where 179 persons died out of 181 in a plane that left Thailand for South korea, a lot of stamped that lead to death in a lot of regions.

the question is am I better than them, the probable answer is no because I don't even have a passport let alone board a plane. What am I saying, we just have one life given to us but when a second chance has been given to you, be grateful and know that material things will definitely be gotten back, for me another chance has been given to me to do better.

If not for anything, this has thought me about the gift of life, knowing that each and everyday count.,
This year I have decided to use what happened to me as a yardstick and stepping stone to achieve my dreams, deviate from procrastinating, not look at what people think about me, fight my way through to achieve my goals.

Points to note when traveling locally
1.Travel with registered company vehicles
2.Always let someone know that you are traveling
3.Always have a scan copy of your documents in your mail if you always travel with your original documents
4.Ask questions about the place you are going to before embarking on the journey (for those that don't know the route)
.

Thank you for stopping by ☺

Glad you didn't let what happened to you get to you. We have to understand that life is not always rosy and sometimes things might get rough, but that doesn't mean is the end of everything for us. I wish you all the best✨
