Single Parenting: Not not a Good Idea
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Many single parents we have in the world today never imagined they'd be single parents someday. Everyone's dream is to build a happy home, one everyone will admire, but life happens anyway and things go sideways.

Single parenting, as the name implies, simply refers to a situation where a parent single-handedly trains a child or children. People become single parents for different reasons, some because of divorce and some because they lost their partner to the cold hands of death. Single parenting actually has an effect on the emotional and psychological aspects of the child's life.
Both parents have a role to play in a child's upbringing, and the absence of one parent affects the child. A single parent cannot play the roles of a father and a mother perfectly, no matter how hard they might try. It is not easy to be a father, just as it's not easy to be a mother. Both should be present to play their roles in the life of the child. Raising a child is not easy on both parents; imagine the weight on just one parent. There will surely be loopholes.
If you see a child that was raised single-handedly and one raised by both parents, it's quite easy to differentiate and identify them. If they were raised by a single mother, they'd lack fatherly love and fatherly advice and would not have the experience of what it feels like to be loved by a father. The same happens when they are raised by a father; those corrections a mother is always there to make in the life of her child will be absent, and these children will grow up lacking all of these.
One trait that children raised by single parents are known for is indiscipline and disrespect. Due to the fact that they lack the correction of their parents, they end up being extremely disrespectful and indisciplined. I came across a single mother sometime ago, and I loved the way she pampered the child, and no one except her was allowed to caution this child for her wrong deeds. I doubt if such a child will grow up and have regard for others. A little girl is so insulting, but you dare not talk to her, or else you have her mother's wrath to face.
Many children raised by single parents end up being wayward. Single parents give their kids the leverage to do anything that pleases them all in the name of making them happy and not allowing them to feel the absence of the other partner. They become adults, and they still want to continue living life that way, doing whatever pleases them.
Life gets too lonely for the parent involved, as they will try to be there for their kid and, in the process, end up pushing friends away and missing out on all the fun. A single parent carries all the burden alone, with no one to share it with to make it a little bit lighter.
Trust me, we still have single parents who do parenting way better than some parents who still have their partners present in the relationship. Some single parents play the roles of both father and mother so well that they shape the child into a better version of themselves. Single parenthood is difficult; it has its pros and cons.
Thanks for reading my post.
But seriously, some single parent out there once dreamed of a happy and complete home in their future 🥲 it's so sad that life has got to happen to some.
I can't even argue with that fact you pointed out... Some single parents are amazingly good in parenting
Thanks for participating 💯
I have not heard anyone saying they dreamed of becoming a single parent, but it happens and they try to survive through it. Some get it right while some don't.
Thanks for stopping by.

Not all are rude put there. The level of which the parent would take care of such child would be different. He or she would be pampered, that's not what I meant but they would have the mind of mot being so rude to people. You must have seen some in your area, but the ones I have come across are always well mannered.
Not all children raised by single parents are rude, we have kids raised by both parents that are rude too but when we compare the statistics for both you see those from single parents topping the table.
Successful single parenting is by grace and only few get it right
It's quite difficult to get single parenting right, but some manage to.
Thanks for reading.
You're welcome
Truly, many single parent once dream of a happy home but it's so sad it happens in an other way around I set my brother as an example he always told us he cannot be single father, that he can't imagine himself and his children living separate but it has happened separation
So sad for your brother, we all dreamt of a happy life and one big family but circumstances beyond our control happens and we are forced to live with it.
In this life, anything can happen. And like you mentioned it, no one preempts to be a single parents but some natural phenomenal can arise and are unavoidable, death for instance.
Most children who grew up under single parents become wayward especially when the father figure is not present for them.
For the male children, they grow big and their mothers may finds it difficult to control them.
Single parenting isn't just it. The adverse effects are more.
Parenting as a whole is a burden on two people, picture it on one person and you will see there will sure be loopholes.
Nobody planned to become a single parent but once they find themselves there what I think they should do is to secure their children's life and future because it will definitely tells on their children's upbringing
Nobody dreamt of being a single parent but life happens and they have to live with it while they try to get it right.
Am telling you they just have to live with that until God give them second chance which some never had
A beautiful post. Single parents go through a lot emotionally, society needs to be a little fair on them.
It's not easy at all, raising a child single handedly is not a day job.
Thanks for reading.
Parenting isn't an easy thing, it's only by God's grace that parents get it right. Well some single parent manage to get things right with their kids while some got it wrong.
