¡Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Antes de que finalmente concluya esta semana quería contarles con emoción algunas de las experiencias que viví en esta semana de la Zulianidad que hasta hoy realmente la he vivido debido a que en años anteriores no había podido disfrutarla como tal. Todo aquel que vive en mi amado y cálido estado Zulia ha disfrutado de esta semana llena de tradiciones y cultura.

Hello my dear friends of Hive! Before this week finally ends I wanted to tell you with emotion some of the experiences I lived during this week of Zulianidad that until today I have really lived it because in previous years I had not been able to enjoy it as such. Everyone who lives in my beloved and warm state of Zulia has enjoyed this week full of traditions and culture.

En mi pueblo, celebramos nuestras raíces aperturando la semana con un encuentro de chimbángueles de San Benito de palermo, una tradición sumamente fuerte dentro de nuestra comunidad para todo creyente. Miles de personas se congregan con el fin de estar junto a este Santo tan querido

In my town, we celebrate our roots by opening the week with a gathering of chimbangels of St. Benedict of Palermo, a very strong tradition in our community for all believers. Thousands of people congregate in order to be close to this beloved saint.

Como parte de mi trabajo y el de mi compañero de aventuras @hectorfaria1, nos tocó cubrir este evento de inicio a fin. La verdad me emocionó mucho ser parte de esta celebrarion, fue la primera vez que asistí y viví en carne propia todo lo que este Santo mueve en sus fieles.

As part of my work and that of my partner in crime @hectorfaria1, we had to cover this event from start to finish. The truth is that I was very excited to be part of this celebration, it was the first time I attended and experienced firsthand everything that this saint moves in his faithful.

Desde temprano estuvimos esperando la llegada de los invitados especiales que venían desde el municipio Sucre: Los Chimbangueles de San José de Heras directamente desde Bobures, mi gente, tenían que ver como estaba esa locura allí con todo el mundo disfrutando y bailando ante su llegada.

From early in the morning we were waiting for the arrival of the special guests coming from the Sucre municipality: Los Chimbangueles de San José de Heras directly from Bobures, my people, you had to see how crazy it was there with everyone enjoying and dancing before their arrival.

En la noche es cuando realmente comienza todo con una misa hacia el Santo San Benito de Palermo para luego dar inicio al tan esperado encuentro de chimbangueles con una procesión que recorrería parte de nuestro municipio.

In the evening is when everything really begins with a mass to the Saint Saint Benedict of Palermo to then start the long awaited meeting of chimbangueles with a procession that would go through part of our municipality.

El ver este evento, todos los tambores tocando al ritmo africano, cada grupo de chimbangueles tocando a su estilo en honor a San Benito fue una experiencia sumamente gratificante. Definitivamente este fue el magno evento que abrió con honores la Semana de la Zulianidad.

Seeing this event, all the drums playing to the African rhythm, each group of chimbangueles playing in their own style in honor of San Benito was a very gratifying experience. This was definitely the great event that opened with honors the Zulianidad Week.

A mi que me gusta mucho todo lo que tiene que ver con la cultura y la artes, este evento, que tuve que cubrir por mi trabajo, lo disfruté muchísimo a tal punto que no sentí siquiera que estuviera en modo periodista jajaja fui una feligrés más.

I love everything that has to do with culture and the arts, this event, which I had to cover for my work, I enjoyed it very much to such an extent that I didn't even feel I was in journalist mode hahaha I was just another parishioner.

Ahora, para concluir con la semana de la Zulianidad, se realizó dentro de la Alcaldía de mi municipio una Expo-Zulianidad donde se exhibió muestras gastronómicas, arte y cullturales típicos de nuestro estado.

Now, to conclude with the week of the Zulianidad, an Expo-Zulianidad was held in the Mayor's Office of my municipality where gastronomic, art and typical cultural samples of our state were exhibited.

Y junto a mi equipo de trabajo montamos una mesa también como parte de nuestra contribución. Mostramos un poco de nuestro trabajo realizado dentro de las áreas culturales del municipio y para los que pasaran por nuestra mesas les dabamos unas ricas paledonias muy típicas de nuestra localidad💜

And together with my work team we also set up a table as part of our contribution. We showed a little of our work done within the cultural areas of the municipality and for those who passed by our tables we gave them some delicious paledonias very typical of our locality💜.

Dando un recorrido por algunas de las mesas que formaron parte de la exposición, me di cuenta de la variedad cultural que posee nuestra ciudad, tanto gastronómica como en lasartes y ser parte de todo fue una experiencia inscribible. En el evento se pudo disfrutar de mucha música, gaitas, toque de tambor y lo que le encanta a todo el mundo ¡comida! no hay nada más zuliano que una fritura como las mandocas, patacones, las conservas de coco o guayaba, paledonias y mucho más.

Taking a tour of some of the tables that were part of the exhibition, I realized the cultural variety that our city has, both gastronomically and in the arts, and being part of it all was an inscribable experience. At the event you could enjoy a lot of music, bagpipes, drumming and what everyone loves: food! There is nothing more Zulian than a fried food like mandocas, patacones, coconut or guava preserves, paledonias and much more.

Vivir esta semana ha hecho que me enamore cada vez más de donde vengo, ame mi cultura y este consiente de toda nuestra historia y raíces. No hay nada más lindo que estar consiente de nuestro pasado, nuestra cultura y mostrarla a quien sea. Siempre debemos amar quienes somos, de donde venimos sin importar lo que digan los demás y sentirnos orgullosos. 💜

Living this week has made me fall more and more in love with where I come from, love my culture and be aware of all our history and roots. There is nothing more beautiful than to be aware of our past, our culture and show it to anyone. We should always love who we are, where we come from no matter what others say and feel proud. 💜
