PG Meet up 2024 - a day fulfilled with joy and happiness
Thirty years of togetherness with friends, since 1994.
This year was special - it marks thirty years of our togetherness, since 1994, in the same campus, where we completed our post graduations. A lot has changed since then, but the inner feelings for that friendship has still remained same, fulfilling the day with joy and happiness. Like every year, December is the month, when we meet and this time, we decided to meet on the first Sunday. Usually, first or second Sunday is fixed, so everyone is informed to make themselves available on these two days. December is a pretty intense month for everyone, as most parties happen in this month because of Winter.
Kudos to the organizing members for making all the arrangements and making sure, everything is served in time, as many people come from far distant places. As soon as we reached, the starters were served, both veg and non-veg along with the teaser Gupchup (Golgappa or panipuri).
Unfortunately we lost two of our friends this year - a prayer with silence was observed to give heartfelt condolences for them. In case of such unfortunate incidences in future, it was advised to bring a photograph from their family, and pay homage. We have come to a stage of life, where health matters more than anything else and for a healthy living, friendship is the best medicine, to deal with our stressful life. Many of our friends are in very good positions, but when we meet at this place, all that matters is our friendship.
Holding each other, expressing the feelings with a friend is a gift that probably our generation understands more. In present days, our kids barely have such friendship, who would always come and stand beside us when we need, no matter what position or situation, they might be in.
That feelings is a gold moment of life.
Even though we are so close, our busy life has restricted us to be not able to meet often, and for a day, we forget all our responsibilities dedicating the day for friendship.
Every function deserves some nice food and this was no exception. The organizers did a nice job of arranging a delicious lunch consisting of many items, both vegan and non-veg, to cater to everyone's need.
This year, we decided to make the event more memorable by having some nice DJ Music set up, so that we could dance together, and inspire others to come to the event in subsequent years. I was ready with the camera set up to capture some gold moments, that will always refresh us with all positive vibes, when we see them back later. Some came in spontaneously, some were dragged, but together it was a lot of fun - that one hour will be memorable for a very long time. So let me show you the video to feel the energy :
It took a lot of time to edit several clips and prepare this, but I have tried my best as a novice editor. And posting on youtube is not easy, had to replace some songs at the last moment for copyrights issue.

I find these kinds of meetings very sincere. It is very important to be able to continue this since 1994, it deserves respect. It is well thought out that the treats are vegan and vegetarian. It is usually celebrated as rice day in our area. Rice and similar dishes are served.

Ah, so it was kind of like a class reunion. That is pretty cool. I only graduated high school in 1994, so it's hard to believe I have been an adult for that long!

Nice initiative...30 years is huge, nice to see all gathers after that time... We have done a pizza from time to time but after few years all stopped and never met others anymore

I will like to say that it is a very good gathering and a happy one at that. The moment of sharing happiness together as a family is the greatest. What actually interested me is the dancing galore. I took my time to watch the youtube and it was all fun.
