Nineteen years of bonding
An incredible journey together, holding each other....
Today marks a special day for us - it's our Nineteenth Marriage Anniversary - a roller coaster ride, with many ups and downs, but we have managed to make it better by deciding to face them together and finally enjoy with simple joys of being by each other's side. Like every other couple, we have differences of opinion, but we also do have some balancing characteristics (even opposite sometimes) to repair them and move forward. She was a bit of very sentimental type, where as I am more practical, and ready to face all the challenges that comes on our way. It's like playing with a deck of cards, and finally left with a club and a spade, ending up together. Slowly that trend is being reversed, with she owning up more responsibilities and me focusing on important stuffs only and silently enjoying my time. May be as we grow older, we Men become wiser and prefer to become silent ?😉 Or do the ladies realize their full potential as they grow older and feels empowered taking charge ? Not sure, if someone can answer, but one thing is for sure : there is no rule or math that works for everyone. God definitely has given more power as well as patience to them, its just that they don't realize and you have to supercharge them. Things become little easy, if you live in a joint family and have some support, but those are fast becoming past. For most of us, its taking the entire load ourselves and at the same time, happily taking care of our parents, we are privileged to have them so far with us and listen to their advice, which at times become a big savior.
So with all the busyness and responsibilities, we barely get enough time to spend quietly with each other, but then of late, we are trying to find out happiness in small little things, as you have seen in my posts - be it a party or get-together in the apartment, or a few days travel, or a local tour, or even a good lunch or dinner after a shopping or movie.
Life goes smooth, if it goes as you plan early in your thirties, but unfortunately, that has not been the case with both of us. Several twists have come, and we have managed to survive the waves, but then that always kept more pressure to do more and more. However, now we also realize that, unless we put our goals in containment, it's going to be a never ending story and it creates more anxieties which is unrealized stress, and a killer for our health. So we have built up a plan, in which everyone has to sincerely play their part and then do that for a long time to see the result. For us its good health, for kids, its being well educated ( not by means of certification alone) and a good person.
So as I said at the beginning, It really have been an incredible journey together, holding each other....Responsible but also Special for each other at the same time.
To celebrate this day, we have planned to go for a dinner, more to come on that. In the mean time, few more copies with some different designs - I am not an expert in this domain, but no harm to try - do they look ok ?

Men become silent down the line or as they grow older, because with the passage of time they become wiser, indeed that is true. And they also age well due to marriage.
I am not sure if you have experienced it, but 36 years of age for women and 38 years of age for Men is that pivot of Maturity, any relationship that goes past this pivot is considered to last forever for the rest of life. Even data wise also that is true. Of course the maturity of Women frontruns. But a woman truly becomes a woman after becoming a mother.
Notwithstanding the challenges in real life and in real-time, those who manage it well and accept and welcome the differences & discomfort are the top constructors of a Sweet Home. I am sure you have built that Sweet Home which is not just an embodiment of a physical home, but also a fascinating story of the intangible aspects like love, understanding, happiness, etc.

Married life is a journey of two people who only if they support each other can last so long.
Your post is very beautiful because it shows a union between two souls that although different and often with different opinions managed to walk together and create a beautiful family.
I too have a wife with whom I often have different opinions but then we always find common ground and our daughter has made our bond even stronger and on July 7 we celebrated 12 years of marriage.

You can't plan and prepare your whole life, that is one thing I learned. It will often mock you and do the opposite of what you planned. Better live in the here and now as the wise gurus say.
We had some hard times too. It always worked best for me to stay calm and trust in something good and that all will go well in the end. My wife was often scared in such situations but when it was over, she always said that I was right staying calm and confident.

Patience is the key to traverse through rough roads in the initial phase, but it gets smoother as the kids grow up and share some load.
I agree with the patience and I think that most people, especially these who live in big cities, don't have patience at all. Everyone is on a rush.

Life tends to run over us and in marriage, each one takes the reins as best he/she can, unfortunately not in all cases, but I see that like me you are one of the lucky ones. It is easy to say 19 years of Marriage but it must be very complicated because the road presents us with good moments and others not so much but the important thing is that they remain together and for many more years
It's like that, after marriage, husband and wife also see situations in which there is trouble, but if they support each other, then that time also passes. 19 years is a long time and it's good to hear that you love each other. We do and we will pray that this love will continue in this way.
