My Thanksgiving Reflection
As The Crisp Autumn Air Settles In ..
And the leaves outside my windows turn hues of gold and crimson, I find myself reflecting on the blessings that have shaped my life. Thanksgiving, a time to express gratitude, serves as a blessed reminder to appreciate the richness of our existence. This year, I am particularly grateful for the threads of love, memories, and creativity that have woven the fabric of my life.
At the core of my gratitude is the enduring love .. That has blossomed and flourished over the past 31 years I have known my incredible wife. In the tapestry of life, she is the steadfast thread that binds our days with warmth, understanding, and unwavering support. Together, we have weathered storms and celebrated triumphs, creating a mosaic of shared experiences that I hold close to my heart.
As I glance around my home .. I am greeted by the echoes of joy and love left behind by our fur babies, Molly and Pepper. Though they have crossed the rainbow bridge, their playful antics, loyal companionship, and boundless affection continue to fill my heart with warmth. Their memories, like cherished paintings, adorn the walls of my mind, bringing smiles and gratitude for the joy they brought into our lives.
Speaking of paintings .. Another source of profound thankfulness is the artistic talent that resides within me. The strokes of a brush on canvas allow me to articulate emotions, tell stories, and capture moments that words often fail to convey. The act of painting has become a sanctuary, a place where my soul finds solace and my creativity takes flight. I am blessed to have this outlet that not only brings me joy but also allows me to share a piece of my inner world with others.
In the grand tapestry of life .. Health and well-being are threads that add resilience and vibrancy. I express deep gratitude for the gift of good health, enabling me to navigate life's adventures with vigor and vitality. Family and friends, like cherished companions on this journey, contribute immeasurably to the richness of my life. The laughter shared, the tears wiped away, and the moments of genuine connection are treasures that I hold dear.
As I sit down to the Thanksgiving table ..
Surrounded by loved ones, I am reminded that gratitude is not merely a fleeting emotion but a state of being. It is a recognition of the beauty in our lives, both past and present.
In this season of thanksgiving, I invite you to join me in counting your blessings, savoring the memories, and expressing gratitude for the tapestry of love and joy that makes life truly remarkable.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, laughter, and an abundance of gratitude.
In the tapestry of time, as autumn's embrace paints the world in hues of warmth, we gather in grateful reflection, hearts adorned with the jewels of thanksgiving. A symphony of whispered appreciations dances in the air, weaving through the fabric of our days. With each breath, gratitude becomes the silent melody that accompanies us through the seasons. In the quiet moments of solitude and the jubilant echoes of shared laughter, we find reasons to be thankful, not just on this day of feasting but throughout the year's journey. Like pilgrims of the soul, we tread the path of gratitude, acknowledging the simple miracles that grace our lives, the cherished bonds that defy the hands of time. This Thanksgiving, let us celebrate not only the bountiful table before us but also the rich tapestry of moments that define the beauty of our existence.
That Yunengling sure does look delicious. Wow, 31 years, that is impressive! Despite recent events, it seems you have a ton to be thankful for!
I could have painted that glass better.. I painted that a good while ago, and now want to try a second go at something similar. Painting a glass or bottle was a lot tougher than I thought it would be.
Yes we met each other and started dating while starting high school. Long time ago! hehe. I have so much to be thankful for that I could never list it all here, that's for sure. I hope you guys had a nice day.. Are you going out shopping today with the masses?
I am going out for a little bit, but I am going to some pretty specialized shops, so I am hoping that they won't be too busy. I often wish I would have met my wife sooner, but I doubt she would have been interested in someone like me in her younger years.
She most certainly would have! Just ask her.. She can't say any differently at this point. She wouldn't say such a thing.. I think 😆 Yeah our younger selves were very very different than from today. I had more hair for one. But I am smarter (again .. I think I am)
She might surprise me!
When we reflect how far we have come, we should have all reasons to give thanks to God
Amen. Well said.
Reflection and meditation .. prayer .. always sets the soul right.
I’m glad that you are finding the love around you instead of the sorrow. My life was a train wreck for over 5 years. Luckily I’m through most of it now. I’m thankful for that.
If it wasn't for my wife and I supporting each other and talking through things, even when they seem most ridiculous, we would be an absolute mess too. I am sorry it was so terrible for you. I tend to push some of it down and out of the way, but not a day goes by that I don't feel like crying or resorting to doing nothing with my time. It is a sucky feeling moving on with time.
A lot
(It's how much you guys smile)
Happy Thanksgiving. = }
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!!!
Yeah we tend to smile
A lot
lol
Beautiful happy memories stored behind all those photos, that is very clear to see.
Happy Thanksgiving, although a little late @bdmillergallery, you sure have a ton to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you.. and yes I sure do. It is easy to forget sometimes, so I try to remind myself at least once every day. I hope you had a wonderful day too.
This valley seen in the picture is very special. When the leaves are down, one is very happy to see them. When they change color, it looks even more beautiful. We miss you moly. ❤️
Yes, it is quite pretty by the lake this time of the year. When it snows it is also very pretty. Oh boy.. Yes I miss Molly a bunch.
Yeah you are right.
The collage of you over the years was really cool! And I loved the doggie photo.
Thank you. Yeah, I don't know if you can tell, but they were ready to dash once I gave the all clear. lol
Well, we all know how much Molly loved photo shoots...
😆
Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving pal. I'm glad you have so many things in your life that are going well for you.
It wasn't a bad day at all. Hope your day was just as nice. 😊
Yes I realize that even though there are tough times and stuff I don't necessarily like, life really isn't all that bad.
All wonderful treasures to place into a gratitude box woven over the years, take care and trust you enjoyed this time of the years with family and friends those with us and others in spirit only.
Yes, we had a plan for this Thanksgiving, but unfortunately some family members took ill so we are postponing it a few weeks. We had a nice time here at home with other family, so all was good.
It's hard looking over at that box and thinking that not so long ago she was by my side getting loved on.. still tough.😟
Sorry the family did not get together quite the way planned, at least you still had a good time. Missing our furry friends is always tough!
