幾年前在美國剛好與住在德州聖安東尼奧(San Antonio) 的朋友聯絡上，於是就決定來個短暫的旅行，我的朋友也帶我玩了不少地方，最重要的是他有車和房子，所以交通和旅館完全不用規劃，只要無腦跟著朋友就好，非常輕鬆，真心感謝他的熱情招待。

第一站就來到了位於德州聖安東尼奧市中心的美洲之塔 (Tower of the Americas) ，因為它曾經是美國歷史上最高的塔，所以取名美洲之塔，這個景點是到達聖安東尼奧必去之地，因為它有觀景台，高度僅約230公尺，但足以俯瞰整個城市。

美洲之塔的觀景台入場費約19.5美金，除了可以在觀景台看美麗風景外，還可以欣賞「Over Texas & the 4D Theater Ride」，這是一部介紹美國德州的自然風光和歷史的4D電影，如果對美國德州景觀有興趣的人很值得一看，個人覺得拍地有趣也很有教育意義。

看完4D電影就可以直上天台看風景了，記得當時約在黃昏時搭著朋友的車前往目的地，所以在觀景台剛好可以看到白天和晚上的景色，不過那天天氣不太好，所以也沒拍到美麗的日落和夜景，但還是很有觀光的感覺。

另外觀景台上有一區介紹六旗的由來 (six flags over Texas)，原來這個地區曾被六個國家統治：法國、西班牙、墨西哥、德克薩斯共和國、美利堅聯盟國和美利堅合眾國 (美國)，其實六旗樂園也是取名於此，真的是長知識了。

美洲之塔內有旋轉餐廳可享用晚餐看夜景，如果是白天前往也可以逛逛周圍外部，可以看看噴水池之類的，無論如此這是拜訪美國德州聖安東尼奧不可錯過的景點之一。

A few years ago, I happened to reconnect with a friend living in San Antonio, Texas, and decided to take a short trip there. My friend was incredibly generous, as he not only had a car but also a house, which meant I didn’t have to worry about transportation or accommodations. All I had to do was follow his lead, making the trip super relaxing. I’m truly grateful for his warm hospitality.

Our first stop was the Tower of the Americas, located in downtown San Antonio. This iconic landmark was once the tallest tower in U.S. history, hence the name. It’s a must-visit attraction for anyone coming to San Antonio, as it offers stunning panoramic views of the city from its observation deck. The tower stands at about 230 meters (750 feet) tall, which is plenty high to take in the entire cityscape.

Admission to the observation deck costs around $19.50. In addition to enjoying the views, you can check out the "Over Texas & the 4D Theater Ride." This 4D film showcases the natural beauty and history of Texas, and it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re interested in learning more about the state. I found it both entertaining and educational.

After the 4D movie, we headed straight up to the observation deck to take in the view. We arrived at the tower just before sunset, so I got to see both the daytime and nighttime scenery. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great that day, so I missed out on a beautiful sunset and night view. Still, the experience felt very touristy and memorable.

On the observation deck, there’s also a section explaining the history of the “Six Flags Over Texas.” I learned that this area was once ruled by six different nations: France, Spain, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate States, and the United States. Interestingly, the name of the famous Six Flags amusement parks comes from this historical fact. It was definitely an eye-opener!

Inside the Tower of the Americas, there’s also a revolving restaurant where you can enjoy dinner while soaking in the night views. If you visit during the day, you can explore the surrounding area, including fountains and outdoor spaces. Regardless of when you go, the Tower of the Americas is undoubtedly one of the must-see attractions in San Antonio, Texas.
