CAMBIO DE RODAMIENTO EN CAMIÓN MACK R600

Saludos amigos de @hivemotors hoy les traigo un monstruo de las carreteras, un camión MACK R600, choferes me han dicho que son unos guerreros imbatibles desde que los crearon en el año 1969, son muy eficientes y tienen una gran durabilidad, hoy en día es común verlos aun por las carreteras.

Este camión llego al taller presentando mucho ruido en una de sus ruedas delanteras, por lo tanto, procedimos a estacionarlo en el lugar adecuado, donde se le saco la rueda izquierda, el tambor y el rodamiento que lleva, se verifico todo el tren delantero y estaba en buenas condiciones, el chofer de muchos años de carrera se percató a tiempo antes de que se agravará la situación.

Se sustituyó el rodamiento y se le coloco suficiente grasa, fue una reparación rápida ya que todo estaba bien conservado, el chofer nos contó que este camión lo hizo levantar su familia, gracias a él todos sus hijos estudiaron en colegios pagos, construyo su casa como el quiso y ahora vive con su esposa y ella lo acompaña en sus viajes.

Dice que por todo lo que ese camión le ha brindado en más de 40 años, no escatima en su mantenimiento, nos regaló hasta una propina, cosa que hacía mucho tiempo yo no veía.

Bueno amigo espero les resulte interesante este recorrido por mi post y una reflexión final, si todos le tuviéramos ese agradecimiento a los vehículos que nos brindan prosperidad, estoy seguro que muchos de ellos no fueran descartados en las deshuesadoras de carros. Un día presencie una destrucción de muchos vehículos que lo que necesitaban era un dueño con entusiasmo para devolverles su esplendor, créanme amigos me pareció un desperdicio de recursos y lo peor fue que me entere que los fundían para hacer cabillas.

Sé que uno llora por el fallecimiento de un familiar, pero ver morir estos vehículos antiguos me causo una especie de trauma, cada uno con una historia junto a sus dueños que contar, había muchos modelos que estoy seguro en otro país hubiesen restaurado para exhibirlos o por lo menos para mantenerlos operativos como hace el chofer de esta historia.

BEARING REPLACEMENT ON MACK R600 TRUCK

This truck arrived at the workshop presenting a lot of noise in one of its front wheels, therefore, we proceeded to park it in the right place, where we removed the left wheel, the drum and the bearing that it carries, the whole front axle was checked and it was in good condition, the driver of many years of career realized in time before the situation worsened.

The bearing was replaced and enough grease was applied, it was a quick repair since everything was well preserved, the driver told us that this truck was built by his family, thanks to him all his children studied in paid schools, he built his house as he wanted and now he lives with his wife and she accompanies him on his trips.

He says that for all that this truck has given him in more than 40 years, he does not skimp on its maintenance, he even gave us a tip, something that I had not seen for a long time.

Well, my friend, I hope you find this post interesting and a final thought, if we all had that gratitude to the vehicles that bring us prosperity, I am sure that many of them would not be discarded in the car wreckers. One day I witnessed the destruction of many vehicles that needed an enthusiastic owner to give them back their splendor, believe me friends it seemed to me a waste of resources and the worst thing was that I found out that they were being melted down to make siding.

I know that one cries for the death of a family member, but seeing these old vehicles die caused me a kind of trauma, each one with a story to tell along with their owners, there were many models that I am sure in another country would have been restored to exhibit them or at least to keep them operational as the driver of this story does.
