A foreigner reacts to ‘Rise Up’ Cover- Sarah Geronimo (Philippines) Versus Morissette Amon (Philippines).

In this reaction video, I watch two covers of ‘Rise Up’ (by Andra Day), one done by Sarah Geronimo of the Philippines (a live stage performance) and one done by Morissette Amon of the Philippines (107.5 Wish fm radio bus) and I compared both singers using various dynamics with more focus on ‘the human’, than just the vocals. I looked at how they rendered the song, the story of the song and what feeling or emotion each cover stirs in me, the listener. This is an interesting variation to my ‘reaction videos’. In some of these series, I will have to research two singers covering the same song and in this case ‘Rise Up’ (Andra Day) and bring them together in one reaction video, allowing me and my audience to evolve through music, in new ways. In this particular reaction video, I bring the Philippines and the Philippines together through music, while focusing on ‘the human’, where nations are merely locations.
