For Now OBS Studio Fits into My Budget

I Wanted to Record My Screen
I was looking around at screen recording software online.
There are many paid applications/programs, a few of which I have tried.
They're good but right now there are other things in which I need to invest for my business.
For instance, I need to get my LLC set up and I need to get an accountant and lawyer. All these things add up.
Restream is a very good program and it has lots of features that are great if you're livestreaming all the time.
I am not.
I have had OBS on my computer for a long time and it's free.
So, right now instead of investing more money I simply chose to invest a little bit of time to learn how to do a screen record on OBS.
I Googled it and found some pretty simple instructions and it works great.
The reason I want to learn to record my screen is because I want to show people around the back office in the Pizza Plan and dive into the other programs in the downline builder/rebrander.
Create some trainings for my members.
Not Saying I Will Not Get Restream Sometime in the Future
I have used it before and it fits pretty well with OBS.
And it is pretty easy to use.
Just not right now.
Budgeting is really a balancing act.
Have to look at my plan on a regular basis and see where and when stuff will fit in.
Right now I am in a position to invest a little more time into figuring out free or really inexpensive tools to help me out in my business.
My husband invested in me so that I could buy the Pizza Plan and become a program owner
So, I want to work out a plan to get him a somewhat timely return on his investment.

Great work.
My old laptop got a black screen recently, so the program I use for editing pictures and banners for others got stopped but with Chirs videos on how to use Canva I started using the canvas pro which offers a 1-month free subscription. what am trying to say is that things if we sit down and take our time to learn how things work I guess we are not going to regret it one bit.

I like OBS . I have only messed with it a bit but many of the podcasters I listen to use it with great success. It is a very professional program once you understand it.

Screen recording the Pizza Plan - I need to find out more about this mysterious plan.

Sounds like a viable plan, Lisa. As a program owner, it is possible to "invest" yourself into debt. You don't want a program that is going to be costing you money every month. You will grow the Pizza Plan into a viable program by doing what you already do, consistently working it, and investing in it wisely.

You should check out Loom. It is an extension that you can just install to your browser. One of the things I like about it (besides being free) is the fact that the recording time is unlimited. At least it was last I knew. Other programs like camtasia/snagit limit you to like five or ten minutes. It is annoying. Another one I just heard about is called Tango. You might want to check that one out too. Or just keep using OBS, it's definitely a powerful program.
Thanks for the tips and for commenting, @bozz! I recorded a video tour of the Members area. I uploaded it to YouTube to use the blur feature to obscure my personal information and after waiting and waiting I found out it didn't work. So, I found a video to watch that supposedly solves that issue and tried again. So now I am waiting to see if that worked. 🤞🤞 Plan is to have the editing done and into a blog post by the end of today.

If that doesn't work for you, there is a program called VSDC that allows you to edit videos and it has a filter called delogo that blurs out areas for you. It might be more work, but it could do what you need. It's free too.

Hi You probably do not know but just in case you do. My GF is using OBS but her recordings stutter and I wonder what is causing that. The laptop is 4 year old so it´s not ancient. !CTP
Hello, @whywhy! Yeah, I am not sure why that is happening. Sorry. Shouldn't be the laptop itself but I really don't know. Maybe look around on YouTube for solutions or on the OBS website itself. Just a thought. Hope you can get it resolved. That's frustrating. Enjoy your day.😀
