My Actifit Report Card: February 14 2020 Brrr it's chilly out there

Brrr it's chilly out there

This morning I was expecting a cold morning but it was better than I expected while waiting for the train about 39F and no breeze but by the time I got to the city it was starting to cool down as it did during the day as shown on this Link Terminal.

Straight into iphone photos tonight as I didn't have time to add some camera shots to start this post

A kind of crazy day with the sun out but slowly getting colder through the day as I walked to lunch the windchill brought the real feel to about 15F if I didn’t have a farewell lunch to go to and forms to drop off at the lawyers I would have stayed indoors and got very few steps in today.

Another of the Link Terminals I passed they display random facts from time to time I think I may have been walking faster than the average to stay warm,

And this is where I had lunch today with 13 of my colleagues another restaurant I have passed many times but never tried, I am sure in my last month I have eaten in more restaurants than I have in the last 10 years lol 😂

Was a good looking much reminiscing with colleagues the food was good I had a pulled pork sandwich but the service took ages, so was a mad dash to get to my appointment with the lawyer but I just made it I did consider getting a taxi but sometimes it’s faster to walk quick with even a little but walk a jog to get there in time which also kept me warm.

@tattoodjay BRRRR we were in the 80's this morning and had a cold front hit around noon, temp dropped all the way down to low 70's. Nothing beats Fl in the winter. Stay warm and Happy V Day.

I think the weather patterns are all over the place these days has been a crazy winter here, sone cold spells but not to much snow

I hope you pay the taxis per mile and not per hour ;) lol
We don't have such displays in our little town and I'm not sure, but I think I have seen similar ones in Vienna.

Such small restaurants are often the best, but you have to take your time, as you say, because not only they have no fast food, the service is mostly not the fastest neither ... but nice and good ;)

I would be quite !DERANGED if I didn't give you a !BEER and a !COFFEEA for this $trdo post 😉

The taxis in NYC you pay a combination of per mile and per minute so I generally try and avoid taxis when the streets are busy its quicker and cheaper to walk often LOL

Off the restaurants i have been to this past weekor two, this one was the worst for wait times and we were in early so it wasnt even that busy to be honets

Yeah, I know such restaurants too, and usually they see me only once if it is obvious that they are only lazy and not busy.

A !BEER has to be cold to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉

The traffic at peak times in the city is crazy, sat walking from 1st Ave up to 7th on 42nd street in peak times I walk quicker than the traffic flows, that was the case yesterday when I was running late to get to the lawyers i walked as it was quicker

I cannot understand why they still drive by car when the traffic is so slow and they sit for such a long time in their vehicle, but I do not need to understand everything ;) lol
If I would work in such a big town I would also walk or go by train, that's for sure, and when you walk you can see so much more and beautiful things, as you always show us in your posts 🙂

A !BEER has to be cold and a !COFFEEA has to be hot to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉

I know I cannot understand that, to me its crazy, I have seen people get the bus for only one or two stops, paying $2.75 to go that short a distance and slower than walking is !DERANGED i think

Either they have enough time or they are just lazy or both ;)
I always try to use the fastest means of transportation, and if my feet are the fastest, then of course I use my feet, and also if I have enough time I prefer to walk.

A !BEER has to be cold and a !COFFEEA has to be hot to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉

I tend to think its more about laziness, or perhaps more having an issue with walking anywhere, many hate walking here, I had a neighbour when I lived in Queens when I first got here, he would drive literally 500 Feet to the gym each morning and then drive home after his workout, seems so !DERANGED to me

That's about 150 meters - so, if he would live in my apartment he would need a car to drive to the parking space to the car, because we park where we find an empty parking space, and sometimes it's more than a 500 feet walk ;) lol
Some people are really !DERANGED with or without a !BEER 😉

The wind was straight brutal on Saturday. Sunday made up for it though. I think the temps were getting close to 40 with the sun shining bright!
