Today is March 8, declared by the UN as International Women's Day. And as is worthy of these times, a debate arises, to congratulate women, or, not to?.

But first, what happened on March 8 to make it Women's Day?

Let's go a little into history, which doesn't hurt. It helps us understand not only the commemoration of the date, but also opens our minds in some aspects of life.

The world was not always as we know it, in the 1900s, 1800s, and before, women were not seen as they are now, all-terrain, strong, intelligent, capable of reasoning. The reality was that we were considered inferior to men, therefore, we did not have the right to vote, work, access better jobs, as well as, we had precarious working conditions.

The woman had to be at home, take care of the children and the husband, procreate, cook, wash, iron, keep everything in her place. We could not express opinions openly, as I do at this moment, through my blog. We did not have freedom, we were not considered human beings with rights.

Therefore, a series of events marked history, giving it a different direction.

Women raised their voices in 1857, in New York City to have better working conditions.

Later, in 1908, 129 women lost their lives at work due to precariousness.

In 1910 in Germany, the celebration of Women's Day was proposed so that we would have the right to vote. All of this was a media strategy, which has always been applied to humanity in order to change public opinion.

Until 1911, when they fought for the political rights of women, celebrating this day for the first time in history.

So, today is commemorated by all those women who fought, allowing the advancement of civilization.

Hoy es 8 de marzo, declarado por la ONU como el Día Internacional de la Mujer. Y como es digno de estos tiempos, surge un debate, ¿felicitar a las mujeres, o, no hacerlo?.

Pero, primero, ¿qué sucedió el 8 de marzo para que sea el Día de la Mujer?

Vamos a ir un poco a la historia, lo que no está de más. Nos ayuda a entender no solo la conmemoración de la fecha, sino que también abre nuestra mente en algunos aspectos de la vida.

El mundo no siempre fue como lo conocemos, en los años 1900, 1800, y anteriores las mujeres no eran vistas como ahora, todoterreno, fuertes, inteligentes, capaces de razonar. La realidad era que éramos consideradas inferiores al hombre, por lo que, no teníamos derecho de votar, trabajar, acceder a mejores puestos de trabajo, así como también, se tenían condiciones laborales precarias.

La mujer debía estar en la casa, cuidar de los hijos y el esposo, procrear, cocinar, lavar, planchar, mantener todo en su lugar. No podíamos emitir opiniones abiertamente, como lo hago yo en este momento, a través de mi blog. No teníamos libertad, no éramos consideradas como seres humanos con derechos.

Por lo que, una serie de acontecimientos, marcaron la historia, dándole un rumbo diferente.

Mujeres alzaron su voz, en el año 1857, en la ciudad de Nueva York para tener mejores condiciones laborales.

Posteriormente, en el año 1908, 129 mujeres perdieron la vida en su trabajo debido a la precariedad.

Para 1910 en Alemania se propuso la celebración del día de la mujer para que así tuviésemos derecho al voto. Todo esto era una estrategia mediática, lo que siempre se ha aplicado a la humanidad con el fin de cambiar la opinión pública.

Hasta 1911, cuando se lucha por los derechos políticos de las mujeres, celebrándose por primera vez en la historia este día.

Así que, el día de hoy, se conmemora por todas esas mujeres que lucharon, permitiendo el avance de la civilización.

This phrase was the law today on Twitter while I was browsing the web. Do we really not owe him anything?

Those women gave us a voice, which we didn't have.

Esta frase la ley hoy en Twitter mientras navegaba por la red. ¿Realmente no le debemos nada?

Estas mujeres que salieron a protestar, las que lucharon exigiendo sus derechos, las que murieron, todas ellas permitieron que hoy tú (si eres mujer), tu madre, hermanas, esposas, hijas, y yo, estuviésemos aquí trabajando, estudiando, votando, teniendo derechos al igual que los hombres por ser seres humanos al igual que el género opuesto.

Esas mujeres nos dieron la voz, que no teníamos.

El mundo evolucionó, y gracias a ello, hoy, puedo escribir estas palabras para ti.

Lastimosamente, hoy en día se asocia el feminismo a pintarte el cabello de colores, marchar desnuda, y a respuestas violentas. Cuando lo que realmente significa la lucha por los derechos, y por ende, la igualdad.

So... Should I congratulate or not?

One of the debates of the day is whether to do it or not. It is commemorated by the number of deaths that occurred, and that continue to occur today, by all the events that took a step forward in civilization. For me, so much has been achieved that I accept being congratulated for being a woman.

Do it, I have no problem with it, because I know that from your heart you do it for the good.

Do it, because I feel happy and proud to be a woman. It's everyone's day, today, and always.

In addition to this, I believe that an important part of evolution is to focus on the most. Today is a reminder, a commemoration, not a war.

That is why I choose not to be intolerant of a "happy day", because we are a society, where men and women exist, and we need each other, so in it, we are all important.

There are cards on the table today, it is not about whether to congratulate or not, but about unity, tolerance, peace, love. What our humanity needs so much today.

So, happy day to every woman, because today you can enjoy being one in freedom. And thanks to everyone who made this possible. ❤️

Entonces... ¿Debo felicitar o no hacerlo?

Uno de los debates del día es si hacerlo o no. Se conmemora por la cantidad de muertes que acontecieron, y que siguen sucediendo hoy en día, por todos los acontecimientos que dieron un paso en la civilización. Para mí, se ha logrado tanto, que acepto que me feliciten por ser mujer.

Hazlo, no tengo problema con ello, porque sé que desde tu corazón lo haces por bien.

Hazlo, porque me siento feliz y orgullosa de ser mujer. Es el día de todas, hoy, y siempre.

Además de ello, creo que una parte importante de la evolución es enfocarnos en lo más. Hoy es un recordatorio, una conmemoración, no una guerra.

Es por ello, que elijo no ser intolerante a un "feliz día", porque somos una sociedad, donde hombres y mujeres existimos, y nos necesitamos mutuamente, así que en ella, todos somos importantes.

Existen cartas sobre la mesa en la actualidad, no se trata de si felicitar o no, sino de unión, tolerancia, paz, amor. Lo que hoy en día le hacen tanta falta a nuestra humanidad.

Así que, feliz día a cada mujer, porque hoy puedes disfrutar de serlo en libertad. Y gracias, a todas las que hicieron esto posible. ❤️
