CUCUMIS SATIVUS πŸ₯’: PROGRESS SO FAR..HARVEST TIME APPROACHING πŸŒΏπŸŒΏπŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Hello Hiveians ❣️❣️

The other day I made a post about the early stages of my cucumber πŸ₯’ farm ( https://peakd.com/hive-150280/@zion-francis/4uj44j-cucumis-sativus-dry-season-farming-of-cucumber-and-it-s-health-benefits )
Well, it's been been almost two weeks now and the progress so far has been impressive and at this moment I am looking forward to harvesting.

Usually after few weeks of planting cucumber πŸ₯’, as it is getting close to its fruiting stage the plants need what we call staking.

Staking is done due to the uniqueness of the cucumber πŸ₯’ plant. It is a way in which the plants are raised up maybe by using stick( in this case a bamboo stick) so that when this plants eventually produce the fruits will be held up due to this staking just like in the case of yam also.

Staking also helps to prevent the plants from getting damaged due to the hotness of the soil. So this plant when raised up will not be having any contact with the soil except their roots.

Another thing, the wetting of the farm has also intensified due to the intense hot weather conditions. As we gradually approach raining 🌧️ season, the hot and sunny β˜€οΈ weather ☁️ condition worsens and If wetting is not increased the plants may not produce good fruit.

I am curiously and anxiously waiting for harvest as I continue to put in the work
