Female Forest Healer // Fan Art
Hello wonderful people of Holozing Community
Looking at all Holozing Fanarts, I guess the one that caught the most of my attention was the Forest Healer.
For some reason I am nature-inspired, I love any art or thing that compliments nature, so going through their fanart, this was the first one that captured my attention and interest.
And I thought, oh well, why not make this your first inspired art in the Holozing community.
Thanks to all the team members behind such a wonderful place and all the Fanart shared so far.
So without wasting much of your time, let's get over with my work, how I sketched the female forest healer.
Work Process
The first part which was the sketch was quite the trouble for me too.
You know when you are putting pieces together from the imagination and inspiration you get and want to just make something good out of it?
That's exactly what happened with my line art sketches.
I kept changing a few lines, strokes, patterns and styles until I settled for this final sketch seen here
My major confusion was with her hair and the shape of her face, I changed a few of those, although I haven't included them here.
At first, I made twisted kinda cornrows for her hair, but since it didn't suit the shape of her face, I had to change that and adjust the face just a little bit too to give it that Amine look.
I couldn't leave out the sketch process, so there, you have them all
After the line art sketch, another step was the skin color fill-in, the base colours.
Since the character appears more to be an anime, I chose a light skin tone for it. I didn't have much trouble contemplating this one cause we know anime mostly comes with light skin tone, so there we go, I chose that for the skin base colour and then fixed up her dress with complimenting colours too.
After the skin and dress colour-fills, I started working on her hair, always my favourite part of any art lol.
And of course, a green colour for the hair, she is a forest princess so it is normal to choose a natural colour for her hair which commensurate with the Holozing fan art.
After working on the hair, I took my time to achieve what I wanted to achieve with the hair before I went over her dress.
I didn't give much attention to this part, not that I wasn't aware, I just didn't want to leave my focus there so I rushed over a few layers, changing tones, highlighting, and leaving patterns of how I wanted the clothes to be.
The last part was the rope around her head, in the form of a forest crown, to beautify her hair and make it look more forest-like.
And then choose a deep background for my fan art.
And that ended my work session for the female forest healer.
I hope you like it, let me know what you think ;)
