Staying indoors is fun at times, being completely isolated from the world out there but then again, most times it gets really boring.
You wake up and do the same thing every day, repeating the same routine, and if this always continues, you will soon get tired and bored of it.

For four days now, I haven't stepped a foot outside my door. It's been days of staying indoors, inside my room, and working behind the scene. It's been days of sleep and waking up to continue everything I had to do on my bed.
It's been days of brain shaking, mental disturbance, and lots more.
I had my moments of frustration during the last days as I mentioned in my previous articles but I became conscious and intentional about not getting all worked up about certain things anymore and I am really trying my best to keep at it.

So today, a friend of mine asked me to accompany her to get something somewhere downtown, I immediately grabbed the opportunity with both hands cause I was already sick and tired of staying indoors without having anywhere to go. And also because it was a chance to take some break, my body, mind, and the entire system needed. A chance to get some fresh air outside the four walls of my house and room.
When she asked for the company, I told her I was all in and I would direct her to the place to get what she wanted since it was a place I do purchase most of my gadgets.

Such an opportunity is what I couldn't let slip away just like that so I agreed to accompany her and then we dressed up to go out. At first, we had to make some withdrawals when we got to the main road, so we could buy what we needed. It took a while to get the money or be able to send it because of poor network connection here but after some minutes, the transaction was processed and we got the amount of cash we needed and boarded public transport to where we were headed.

After buying what she wanted, changing her phone screen that had cracked and pieced for a while, she asked the prices of other things and then went ahead to search for a particular hair product. It's a hair product for natural hair so she was hoping she would find it around there since it's where most of the hair products and treatments are sold. But unfortunately for us, we went from one shop to another along the street but couldn't find the product she wanted. When we couldn't keep up with the search, we decided we were just gonna return home and stop stressing to look for it since it seemed none of the stylists or hair product dealers there had it.

The dirty water you are seeing here isn't a river or some kind of a stream but dirty rain and mud water, flooding the road. For years now, even since I was just a small child, this road has never been any better, especially during the rainy season like this. It's always flooded and most times, the water rushes into nearby houses and stores. Sad how the government has done nothing about this place since when I was born and until now.

Every once in a while, they will come out with a proposal to renovate this road and do something about it but in the end, nothing will be done and such will not be discussed again. The village chief and council have also refused to do anything about it as such this road had remained the way it is since I came to know about this place.

We passed through this road when we were out today and sadly, the water almost penetrated the tricycle we were inside. I am lucky enough that my phone didn't fall inside this water lol.
Looking from afar, it seems they are laborers at the other end working and for some reason, I heard the road would be worked on and something will finally be done about it. Though I doubt it since it has always been like that, but I hope something can be done about it.

If at the end of the election period and season, nothing is done about this road, then nothing will ever be done until the next four to five years, except some kind person or set of people pioneer to take up this project, work on it and finalize it.

Rumors or history has had it that they are some kind of strange things or spirit living in this place and hindering people from working on this road and the flood here. I don't take chances with superstition or superstitious beliefs, but what can I really say about such? I mean why can't they do something about this water since I was just a child? Are they really mermaids or some kind of spirit living here? While that's not something I should worry about or bother myself about

It was but a short adventure today. And it's worth more than always being locked up in the house and staying in my room all day long or should I rather say all days and weeks long.

Most times, our body just needs some rest and a break, a little walk, and adventures. Take out time to see and explore the world outside your room or house, and enjoy the fresh breeze and air that nature has stored for us.
I am glad to have taken that chance today to leave my room and see the world outside😁 I believe I need this every once in a while.
This would have been my perfect Wednesday walk experience but sadly today is Thursday, all the same, it was a lovely Thursday walk day.
