It's definitely been a wonderful and successful wedding ceremony of one of our very own.
The traditional ceremony was set to be held on the 28th of December 2023.
Since it wasn't in my village, we had to travel to another village to attend, so we left a day before the actual day in preparation for the main day.
The journey down there was a fun one, filled with interesting sights to behold.
The plan was to leave the city quite early enough so that the sun wouldn't go down on us, but being the way we usually are with our African timing, most people came out late and so we had to travel late, although we still reached the village quite on time before it got really dark and risky.

Meeting different people from different backgrounds and languages was part of the fun and adventurous moments I had.
I heard people communicating in their dialect and it was such a bliss.
Different varieties of dishes and meals were prepared too.

We helped out with the food preparation the night before the ceremony day and when the morning sun was up, we were already up and doing to meet up with the time for the ceremony.
Different works were assigned to different persons and groups of persons
I had my work assigned to me and was to take care of them properly which I believe I did and so were others too.

In summary, I would say I met really interesting people with different characters and behaviour and they were wonderful in terms of communication and interaction with others.
I can't wait to meet them again tomorrow when we go to seal it all off at the white wedding ceremony

So in summary, the traditional marriage celebration went quite well.
I've never seen my colleague look so exceptionally beautiful, happy and expressive.
She was dancing so happily and couldn't help smiling and almost crying at the same time.
I am really happy for her that I almost couldn't hold back my tears either.
I pray for her marriage and new home to be blessed and peaceful, Amen.
