📰 Official News 📰

A lot of news for this week, such as the release of Modern & Wild, changes in rewards and some future changes that are still undated.

Modern & Wild

Today was released the Modern & Wild format, this update was very expected because it changes the ranked matches, you can now choose between two formats Wild (All cards are allowed) and Modern (are allowed only cards from sets Chaos Legion, Dice, Untamed, Some Reward & Promo cards) each format has its own DEC reward pools and leaderboards, the Modern format had the requirements of Collection Power (CP) halved while the Wild remain unchanged. There are still many details that are explained in the post below.

Planned for Week of 7/18

These updates are scheduled to be released next week. I listed some points that I considered interesting but I recommend reading the official post below. These changes may still suffer some alterations until the release.

• New Daily Focuses(For example, a focus based on playing at least one card that has either the Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity ability.).
• Daily Focus Mechanic Update (each win will always contribute focus points toward their daily chests even if no daily focus cards are used. However, each card used that follows the daily focus will give a bonus to the amount of reward shares earned for that battle).
• Focus Splinter/Element No Longer Guaranteed to be Active.
• Changing Minimum Card Rental Time to 2 Days (before it was 1 day)
• Adding Merits as a Chest Reward
• Higher Potion Quantities in Higher Tier Reward Chests

Future Changes

In this last part of the news I list some updates that still don't have an expected date to be released, I will also mention here the ones that caught my attention, but I recommend reading the official post, the link is just below. All updates can be changed until the release.

• Season Rentals
• Replacing DEC rewards with SPS
• Staked SPS may eventually replace Collection Power
• Rift Watchers Will include 1 Epic summoner for each Splinter
• DEC becoming a stable token of 1000 DEC = $1
• DEC will only be minted through the Card Burning and Burn SPS For DEC.

💵 Market 💵

This week the SPS token reached its lowest value since launch, the next big change could be in 12 days with the end of airdrop.

I was always curious to see the top players' matches, so I started looking for some cool battles, I chose a game from each league, all players were in the top 20 of their respective leaderboard.

Blue magic combo is strong in almost all leagues and in this duel between BYZANTINIST Vs. HAFLBLUE would be no different, The players used almost the same cards changing only the SPIRIT MINER and the PRISMATIC ENERGY, the victory went to BYZANTINIST his DJINN OSHANNUS dodged many attacks and resisted until the end of the game perhaps the speed bonus may have helped.

The amount of abilities and card effects is incredible in this league, even the low mana cost cards are huge here, the clash between these top players ends with a quiet victory for BUBKE and his MYLOR CROWLING that did a lot of damage with thorn.
