I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying the Splinterlands game. Lots of things are happening in the splinterlands universe, Yesterday there were several new updates have been released during the maintenance period. One of them is SPS Delegation, Players now can delegate Staked Splintershards (SPS) to other players. Delegated SPS will count for SPS stake requirement for the tournament entry requirements and In the future there will be SPS stake requirements for ranked battles, which will replace the current Collection Power system.

One more coolest and most important feature is the Land Locked feature. You guys already know there is already a Card Lock system in-game, to avoid losing assets from hacking/accidents. Now Players can Lock their Land Deeds, Locked Deeds cannot be traded or sold until they have been Unlocked, and the initial locking period has expired. Besides these two features, another good release is players can now also use DEC-B to pay for guild building upgrades.

Most of you already know that at a recent town hall, Splinterlands team announced the next promo card that will be offered for sale in the Splinterlands shop - Zyriel! First and foremost, Zyriel is the first multi-element card to be introduced into the Splinterlands. As a Life & Death card, Zyriel can be used with both Life and Death element Summoners, or Dragon/Neutral Summoners when either Life or Death is chosen. Zyriel cost 7 mana and has four different abilities Weapons Training, Life Leech, Divine Shield & Rust at a different level.

The price of this promo card is the talk of the town atm. The base purchase price for each single BCX Zyriel card will be 80000 DEC and players will receive a 50% discount on the purchase price by spending VOUCHER tokens at a rate of $0.25 per VOUCHER token spent. That means players have to spend 40,000 DEC + 160 VOUCHERs to purchase 1 BCX Zyriel. At the current market price that's about $33.34 worth of DEC + $19.83 worth of VOUCHER = $53.17 USD/BCX. So, If someone wants to max out their card they have to spend $53.17 x 11 BCX = $584.87 ~ $585 USD. Also, each Zyriel card purchased will have a 4% chance of being a Gold Foil version of the card, and players will be guaranteed to receive at least one Gold Foil version of the card if they purchase 25 Zyriel cards in a single transaction.

As you guys know I have Gold League Gold Foil deck, so I need at least 2 BCX Gold Foil Zyriel for my collection. Therefore, I will purchase 50 BCX of Zyriel for a guaranteed 2 BCX gold foil card. But I will have a 4% chance on the other 48 BCX of being a Gold Foil version of the card. So, How much I need to spend? And How much do I have right now?

To buy 50 BCX of Zyriel I have to spend 50 x 40,000 = 2,000,000 DEC and 50 x 160 = 8000 VOUCHER tokens. Damn !! That's a huge number of DEC and VOUCHER. But, the good news is I was ready for this promo and bought DEC and VOUCHER as soon as aggy announced the number on townhall.

So, As you can see I am all geared up and ready for Zyriel.There will be a maximum of 15,000 (14,400 Regular foil & 600 Gold foil) single-BCX Zyriel cards minted in total If all are sold out. The sale begins next Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at 4:00 PM ET / 20:00 UTC. So I had to wait five more days to buy this badass legendary card.

Now as I said above there are lots of salty conversations happening about Zyriel pricing. Players are comparing Zyrial with past promo released cards. So let's see how much those are costing atm.

So here I compared Zyriel with Oshuur Constantia and Doctor Blight. Because these are the promos that got sold for single BCX. Now if you look at the comparison You will see the pricing is fairly inline & that's why I have no problem with pricing. Now let's see how much it will be effective on Battle Ground and Land.

If you look at the Zyriel stats you will notice, Zyriel got four different abilities and all of those are powerful. Zyriel got Weapons Training ability from level 1 and Zyriel is the first tradeable card in the game to have the new Weapons Training ability! Zyriel got a maximum 5 range attack and it also has Life Leech ability, So whenever Zyriel will attack an enemy monster it will increase health each time it damages an enemy Monster's health; Because of Divine Shield ability first damage will be ignored; Rust reduces the armor of all enemy Monsters by 2. So, It will be perfect for both offensive & defensive line up. She can be combined with the other soulbound Weapons Trainers like Aves Sturgis (Life Splinter), Skok Duskblight (Death Splinter) and Berix Snakeye (Dragon splinter) to give multiple attacks to no-attack cards, turning these normally passive creatures into potent damage dealers.

Also, multi-element cards will be considered as whichever element gives them the highest terrain bonus. So, Zyriel will receive a +10% terrain bonus on Bogs, Forests, Badlands, Hills, Jungles, Mountains, Plains, and Swamps.

I personally think it looks like a kick-ass top-notch card. Zyriel's value revolves most heavily around Weapons Trainer & If you like Weapons Trainer, then Zyriel is a one-time opportunity to get a Ranged Weapons Trainer for two splinters. I'm very excited for it myself. The pricing seems pretty reasonable given it introduces a new game mechanic and has a pretty powerful combination of abilities.
