Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!

This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!

I think this is a great little transport. It does not have as many guns as a Chimera but it is fast and it has rules to make it tactically viable. On the defense it is much like a light/medium tank. On the offence it is similar to a Space Marine Razorback but with Autocannons.

Regretfully no Hunter-Killer missile...

Twin autocannon

48" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S9, AP-1 and 3 Damage each.
Twin-Linked - This gun can re-roll to Wound Rolls.

Storm Bolter

24" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 2 (Get +2 Attacks at half range of 12")

Melee Weapons

Armoured tracks

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.

Abilities

Deadly Demise D3 (This vehicle can explode, dealing D3 Mortal wounds to each unit within 6")

Rapid Deployment

This vehicle can do an Advance movement and the unit inside can still disembark and shoot or do actions.

So this is 12" + D6 for the Advance + 3" for the deployment. That is a minimum of a 16" movement for the unit insid.

Transport Capacity - 12 models, Heavy Weapons teams count as 2 models and Ogryn count as 3 models.

Thoughts

So this is a vehicle that really help you to play the game and win the game based on Actions. That 16- 21" movement and still being able to shoot is NOT for the shooting. Being able to shoot means that you can do an Action and this is often the kind of thing that gains Victory points on both Primary and Secondary missions.

That makes 30 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 43.05% Completed. The total Completed is 19.07% Complete! Can I review them all?!
