Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

Now known as the Unit Review Library!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
431 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #119, I am 312 reviews behind!

Not picking randomly at the moment, need to finish Imperial Agents and Deathwatch before they change as explained Here

Imperial Agents, Inquisitor Eisenhorn

10th Edition Index

Inquisitor Eisenhorn is an Inquisitor from the Ordo Xenos. He is known for using any tactic or resource possible which has gotten him into a lot of trouble before. This character had a whole series of books about him before he came to the tabletop game.

It is 65pts to field him and he costst $37.50 to buy.

Let's start with their base stats.

Stats

Movement 6"
Toughness 3
Save 4+/5++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 4
Ld 6+
OC 1

Weapons

Ranged:

Artificer Bolt Pistol

Range 12", 4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S4, Ap 0, 2 Damage each
Pistol (Can be fired while in engagement range of enemy units as long as you shoot that unit.)

Mind Assault

Range 12", 2 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S5, Ap -2, 3 Damage each
Psychic (This attack has the Psychic Keyword)
Sustained Hits 1 (Rolls of a 6 to hit score an additional 1 Attack)
Devastating Wounds. (Rolls of a 6 to wound score a critical wound and causes Mortal Wounds)
Precision (These attacks can be allocated to Character models.

Melee:

Runestaff and Barbarisater

5 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S6, Ap -2, 2 Damage each
Psychic (This attack has the Psychic Keyword)

Abilities

Feel no Pain 6+++

Malus Codicium

When leading a unit, double the number of attacks of the unit's Daemonhosts.

Dominate Will

At the start of the opponent's shooting phase you can try disrupt an enemy Infantry unit's shooting. One roll of a 1, he takes D3 Mortal Wounds. On a 2-5 the enemy unit is at -1 to Hit rolls. On a 6 they cannot shoot at all!

Authority of the Inquisition

Just like the other Inquisitors, they get to (steal)commandeer your transport and he and his unit can embark on any friendly transport.

Thoughts

Dominate Will seems pretty cool and the Malus Codicium seems to say that he should be fielded with Inquisitorial Henchmen... but he COULD be fielded alongside many other troops.

I think I would love to have his model just for collector's sake!

That makes 9 Imperial Agents Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 52.94% Completed! The total Completed is 12.25% Complete! Can I review them all?!

Thank you for reading!

Neat to see you wanting a unit to not field, but collect.

He seems a bit... specific in use case scenario.

I mean I will field him... buy not for tournament play.

I had no idea there was a figure for him... I think I've read all the books!

I honestly really liked them. They tend to be mysteries that are set in 40K universe.
