Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.

So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:

Space Wolves, Arjac Rockfist

10th Edition Index

Finally the Wheel has chosen Space Wolves! MY primary faction in Warhammer 40,000!

And it landed on Arjac Rockfist, a model that I do not have and wish I did! Just look at him!

Arjac is the Champion of Logan Grimnar (A Model I DO have) and super tough.

He costs 95pts to field and the web store has him listed for $32.75 - ouch!

Let's check his stats!

Weapons

Ranged:

He can THROW his thunderhammer and it returns back in his hand via short-ranged teleportation!

Foehammer
6" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 2+. S8, AP-2 and 3 Damage.
Assault and Anti-Monster 2+ (So it Wounds Monsters on a 2+ regardless of Toughness)

Melee:

Foehammer
5 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S8, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.
Anti-Monster 2+

Abilities

Deep Strike

Anvil of Endurance

While leading a unit, add +1 to Hit rolls when the unit is below Starting Strength and +1 to Wound rolls when they are Below Half strength.

Since he leads Terminator units. That could mean 4/5 or 9/10 for +1 to Hit and 2/5 or 4/10 for the +1 to Wound.

Champion of the Kingsguard

Arjac can use the Epic Challenge Stratagem for 0CP and when fighting a Character he re-rolls to Hit and to Wound rolls!

This Stratagem means that he can single out enemy Characters and of course, with the re-rolls - he can likely kills them.

Thoughts

Arjac is MADE for the Champions of Russ Detachment. When it comes to completing Deeds for Sagas he is prime for completing either Saga of the Warrior Born or Saga of the Beast Slayer.

He is great at leading units of Terminators and can still share leadership in the squad with either a "Captain" - Wolf Lord in Terminator Armor or even Logan Grimnar himself!

There we go. First Space Wolf Datasheet reviewed putting Space Wolves on 2.8% Completed and the total Completed on 6.69% Complete!
