What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
465 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #147, I am 318 reviews behind!

January 2025 we are expecting Astra Militarum and Aeldari codexes as explained Here, so time to focus on THOSE Datasheets!

Aeldari, Shining Spears

10th Edition Index

The Shining Spears are Aspect Warriors, Elites that follow one of the Paths of Asuryan. They are fast and can deal pinpoint damage to the enemy.

100pts for 3 and cost $65
You can also field them as a unit of 6 models for 200pts.

Movement 14"
Toughness 4
Save 3+/5++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)* On an Advange or Charge, their Invul save becomes a 4+
Wounds 2 each and 3 Wounds for the Exarch
Ld 6+
OC 2

Weapons

Each member of the unit is armed with a Laser Lance and a Twin Shuriken Catapult.

The Exarch can change his Twin Shuriken Catapult with a Shuriken Cannon.

The Exarch can be armed with a Shimmershield.

The Exarch can exchange his Laser Lance for a Star Lance OR a Paragon Sabre.

Ranged:

Twin Shuriken Catapult

18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+. S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Twin Linked (Can re-roll to Wound Rolls)
Assault (Can be shot when the unit Advances)

Shuriken Cannon

24" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+. S6, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Sustained Hits 1 (On a crit to Hit on a 6, they score an additional hit)

Laser Lance

6" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+. S6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.

Star Lance

6" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 2+. S9, AP-3 and 2 Damage each.

Melee:

Laser Lance

3 Attacks, Hitting on 3+. S4, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Lance (On the Charge, add +1 to Wound rolls)

Star Lance

4 Attacks, Hitting on 2+. S4, AP-3 and 2 Damage each.
Lance (On the Charge, add +1 to Wound rolls)

Paragon Sabre

5 Attacks, Hitting on 3+. S4, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.

Abilities

Aerobatic Grace

When enemies attach the Shining Spears, they do so at -1 to Hit.

Thoughts

Fast, and good at taking out small elite units or perhaps a light tank.

I would not use them to hit anything that is too big and dedicated but this might be a great unit at 100pts for scoring secondary objectives and opportunistic damage dealing.

Not bad, good utility.

That makes 6 Aeldari Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 8.3% Completed. The total Completed is 15.13% Complete! Can I review them all?!
