Warhammer 40k - Rules Leak! I get a sneak preview of 10th Edition
As is normal and on form, the rules for Warhammer 40,000 10th edition have been leaked! This happens a LOT in Games Workshop and although usually this sort of thing would be seen as illegal, I feel as though GW are the masters of creating their own hype.
Managing leaks are better for creating interest than letting these things slip past you uncontrolled. I mean, the basics of the psychology is simple: If it is something so exciting that you are willing to "steal" it or to get hold of rules BEFORE they are officially launched, then you create a sense of need and importance.
So this leak is 61 pages of the core rules section of the Leviathan Box set 10th Edtion Core rules. Check it out here!
The Full book will actually be 392 pages and will include Lore, Art. Besides the Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition rules, there will be the rules for Combat Patrol which will be a slightly different game system that allows you to pick up a Combat Patrol box and play. There will also be Crusade Rules for all factions, ahead of Codex releases so narrative play can begin immediately!
I have placed my pre-order for the Leviathan Box that I will be sharing with my son @merenludick so I will have a original copy of this book in my hands soon!
Thus, getting this PDF and yes, printing a copy, only serves to whet my appetite for this game and for the new edition. With this humble leak, I can teach all the kids how to play and I don't need to worry about this copy getting full of food stains and grubby paws.
I mean... I will TRY to keep it nice.
I am sure I will do a HOW TO PLAY 40k series, but I will first need to work through all the Faction focuses (If I can.)
