This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!
582 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #211, I am 371 reviews behind! (Lowest I have been is 314 behind)

Aeldari, Vyper
10th Edition Index
An incredibly fast vehicle that is a slight step up from a jetbike but not heavy enough to be classified as a tank.
Warhammer 40k has medium to light tanks and the Vyper is one of those in the lightest of categories. As an Imperial Player I see them as flying cardboard boxes and you can take them down with a decent round of small arms fire or one well placed anti-tank shot.
However, I have learned not to underestimate the Eldar and their nonsense! A Vyper is used to complete objectives and secondary objectives. It is also used in conjunction with other units to remove their cover save right before an important round of shooting that is crucial and they are easy to keep alive if the Aeldari play properly... If they do not... I shoot them without reservation!
These skimmers are a whole 75pts and cost $37 to buy.

18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Assault (Can be fired after this model has advanced)
Twin Linked (This weapon gets to re-roll to wound)
Shuriken Cannon
24" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S6, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Sustained Hits 1 (Get +1 shot for every 6 on the to Hit roll)
Aeldari Missile Launcher - Starshot firing option
48" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S10, AP-2 and D6 Damage each.
Aeldari Missile Launcher - Sunburst firing option
48" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Blast (This weapon gets an additional shot per 5 enemies in the target unit rounding down.)
Bright Lance
48" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S12, AP-3 and D6+2 Damage each.
Scatter laser
36" Range, 6 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Starcannon
36" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S8, AP-3 and 2 Damage each.
Melee Weapons
Wraithbone Hull
3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Deadly Demise 1 (This tank can explode! Though it won't hurt too bad if it does...)
Harassment Fire
Once this model has shot you pick one enemy unit that was hit by its attacks. Until the end of the phase (Your shooting phase), that enemy unit cannot have Benefit of Cover.
Thoughts
As a vehicle on its own the Vyper has a lot of gun options. That means that as you build the model, you can make that main gun interchangeable and magnetize the weapons.
That way you can change the main gun to suit what you need to balance out your army for anti-tank, anti-infantry, anti-heavy infantry.
The Harrassment Fire rule helps other units inflict more damage when the enemy has benefit of cover. It can do so when any of its weapons hit a unit so you could shoot a Brightlance at a tank and the Twin Shuriken Catapult at an infantry unit and decide who is going to get the debuff.
Like I said above, the rest of the time the Vyper is good and making sure objectives and secondaries are met. It is also easier to hide than a big Grav-tank.
That makes 38 Aeldari Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 52.77% Completed. The total Completed is 21.73% Complete! Can I review them all?!
