Warhammer 40k - Chaos never sleeps! Nic Rorich continues to expand his Death Guard!
My good friend Nic Rorich is at it again! Painting Death Guard.
Please note that this is part of my Fund Raiser posts, details:
One of his recent and highly successful projects has been to strip all his Death Guard and repaint them in the color scheme of the Pallid Hand, a specific warband within the Death Guard Traitor Legion. Basically akin to a Company, these guys have a specific way of waging war.
Though in 10th Edition, there are no special rules for them, in 9th there were. What would likely happen, is that when each new 10th Edition Codex is released, there will be Detachments for that army released
Right now the Death Guard can only field a Plague Company. I am sure that this will change in the future!
Onwards to the models!
What we are seeing here are Death Guard Terminators with some of the heroes. The big guy with the scythe is Typhus, Herald of Nurgle.
Now with colours on the models! I see the second from the right is a Lord of some sort. Don't ask me what the difference is between a Lord of Contagion and a Lord of Virulance! lol
Nic got some snazzy 3D printed custom bases for these minis.
Typhus looking awesome!
I THINK the one in the middle is a Lord of Virulence with that big nozzle weapon of it... Definitely NOT a vacuum cleaner... these guys do NOT clean... they make sticky and gross go everywhere for their disgusting Plague God: Nurgle!
Completed Typhus with Nic's fingers!
I love this effect that Nic did. So out of the back of Typhus comes a swarm of insects from his "Destroyer Hive". Instead of painting them to look like corporeal bugs, Nic has painted them to look like an ethereal spell. He's done this on other smoke and flame effects in his collection making it look really cool on the battlefield!
Completed Lord... of Anti-Vacuum... with leafblower... (not)! lol
The back of that Lord.
"Come here!" He says... I would not... Nurgle Terminators are rather slow... keep them at an Arm's distance!
The back of that Lord
See what I mean about smoke and other effects the same as is on Typhus? Looks awesome!
And that's it!
I need to move my butt and get some painting done as well!
Also modelling all the Leviathan Space Marines! More about that soon!
Cheers!

I am currently raising funds for a friend. Please help if you can! Details about the fund raiser HERE
Looks very good!
Right?!
I usually do not do too well playing a standard game against Nic. He is very good.
But when I do, I shall take pics and post about it!
Awesome paint jobs !
Considering that they're Nurgle, I reckon the Lord of Virulence's weapon is either some kind of hand-held muck-spreader, spreading s**t across the battlefield like some kind of awful flamethrower (5+ save or die of embarrassment if hit), or possibly a snot-spreader, covering victims in flu-bearing green goo 😁
!LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly!
Do a "Dodge the poo" save!

I told him that's the last thing I need.

Noice!
The detail that he's painted is really nice! Chaos has such great models with so much character... who would choose Space Marines over them, haha.
!LOL
ME!
Death to those traitors!
But seriously... yes, they have cool looking minis... but there are Imperial armies/models that also have great detail, just not THAT kind of detail. lol
Hahaha, the Space Wolves are surely some of the most detailed Space Marine models... all those furs and stuff, so good.
Those are my boys!
I can't wait to field my 2000pts Champions of Russ army against some opponents!
A lot of Space Wolves are playing the Gladius Task Force because they can't manage the Champions of Russ Detachment rules... I dunno... I want to try it!
