Warhammer 40k - Assemble my Legions! ...literally as well...

Hello everyone! Zak here!

Today I took a bit of an OFF day. I did not do much work, but I rather did stuff that I enjoyed. On the 4th of January 2024 we will be playing a huge points level game of Warhammer 40,000 we call Eternal Carnage.

This will be our second game of this style but is likely to be much bigger this time!

Last time I commanded 4,160pts of Imperial forces against 5,170pts of armies from three players.

I managed to defeat them and now they are looking for revenge!

Two of those three will be facing me on the 4th. One of them cannot attend but he is being swapped out with another player who has a fairly large collection.

So I have spent a lot of time putting together the units as they would be in an army so I can get a good idea of what to build and paint!

I am looking forward to this so much!

A standard game is 2000pts. Playing Eternal Carnage is not something you can do often. In fact, this battle we are planning for the 4th of January is likely to take all day and might even take 12 hours to play out!

It is an event that I would like to do once every 3-4 months. But after this battle I will probably not play for a few weeks. Haha.

What is pretty cool is that this scale of game opens up something I would like to call Macro-Strategies. Its different doing the logistics for this many units... hits at a whole other level.
