The Game
Deployment
I do not actually have a borad enough table in the house se we had to improvise some distances and I deployed as far forward as possible while the Ballistus took up position next to the objective. We needed to not play that terrain as a ruin, but as a "hill" or flat terrain feature so this could be done.
Meanwhile the Tyranids covered their board side. Also mostly as far forward as possible. They did have a nice piece of Ruin before them to hide behind.
Meren got the first turn and rushed forward. Unfortunately, none of his guns were in range to do any damage to me!
I got a bit carried away in my turn and took no pictures. Below is Meren's Turn 2.
So in my turn I activated Devastator Doctrine and Advanced and Shot.
I put Oath of Moment on his Psychophage (The big gribbly bug in the centre of the field) and I destroyed it!
Buy the second turn the Leapers and the Screamer Killer managed to charge into my marines.
Meren was amazed at the amount of 6's he rolled. I can't remember for what. lol
The Terminators took out the Screamer Killer and they proceeded to attack the Neurotyrant.
The death toll amongst the Tyranids were high...
... maybe not so much on the Marines side but I consider the loss of each Marine as a great loss.
I eventually took over the board and killed every last Tyranid.
However Meren was happy that he did manage to destroy some Space Marines. The Swarm will just spawn another brood, while it will take decades to produce soldiers to replace the ones that were lost!
All in all we had a great game and a lot of fun. We learned new things and I think we need to play a bunch of more games!
Cheers!

Looks really cool, even without painted miniatures. Was the landscape models included in the Leviathan Box?
No. The terrain are things I have had for a long time. Some of them I got from other people and some of them I build from scrap.
Yeah, looks really awesome!
