Surprise Triumverate!

It is not often we get to see this. All three cats chilling in the same area at the same time! This is because they have some very different personalities.

Firstoff there is Lexi, "the Princess", the furbaby or potatocat. That is the tabby-siamese top right. She often wears an expression that to human standards looks as though she is grumpy, even when she is happy or playful. Lexi comes to sleep with us quite often or she gets grabbed by one of the boys and ends up sleeping there for the night.

Then there is Squeek, "Tyrannosaurus Squeak", she is an older lady, the Grey cat top left. Squeek is shy, super shy. She likes her space and she likes to be outside. She has an obsessive-compulsive disorder that makes her walk through any door or window that just opened. She would run through an open door without hesitating and then be stuck.... inside or outside and then would want to go the other way.

Or, before she even does this, I would just wait 5 seconds and open the door again and sure enough, she would charge right back again. She does not like being disturbed by the kitten, she doesnt like it when the kids are moving around too much. She dissapears when we have guests. It came as a complete surprise to first find her and Lexi, side by side on the bed. Relaxing or snoozing.

I then went about my business and came back to find that the third cat had joined them!

Enter Mittens, "the Murderkitty" and all-round mischief. She's still a kitten or katten. She's typically bonkers and cannot sit still and cannot leave anything alone. Everything is something to play with and she will pounce, bounce and claw at anything that she can find!

Mittens and Lexi do play quite and bit with Lexi reliving her kitty stages to play. They bounce and chase one another and play-fight. Sometimes though, she's had enough and she would hiss at Mittens.

Squeek on the other hand cannot stand Mittens. She barely tolerates the kitten and hisses at her whenever she gets too close. This however has taught Mittens poor boundaries because her hisses come without retribution. Squeek is actually a deadly hunter for prey animals but she does not fight other cats.

She will hiss at Mittens which will make the kitten back off a little and then forget about it the moment Squeek turns her back to leave. So withing seconds she is just bouncing and bounding after Squeek to try and convince her that she must play with her. I do not see that happening anytime soon.

So there they were all three of them in one place. Even if Mittens was right on the corner of the bed and who knows how long Mittens would sit like that. We can see the side-eye that Squeek is casting on Mittens, which is hilarious. Mittens is looking at my feet, trying to decide if she can hunt them and Lexi has got her best photogenic "cute as F" expression on her face. Does she understand that I am taking a picture?

So there we have em, our kitty cats. Strange and amusing creatures. My wife loves them dearly. If it were up to her we would have more...

Thank you for reading!

Cheers!
