Staying in doors today

Today is a rainy day but not the usual sort of cold Cape Town winter rain day. Its is Spring, so while it is wet, I am comfortable in my t-shirt right now sitting before the PC downstairs.

Of our three cats, Lexi has been grounded! Haha! She was seen on Wednesday morning and disappeared till yesterday afternoon. There have been some rumors about a little old lady feeding all the cats that come near her so now @clairemobey is keeping her indoors and feeding her. There is competition.

In other cat news, there has been some interesting developments with Squeek and Mittens. Squeek is usually the gentle and shy one and Mittens as a kitten/young cat is known as the Murderkitty because he claws everything.

Mittens had injured Squeek and cut her cheek, this got infected and formed an abcess. Squeek had to go to the vet and we needed to babysit her for... 6-8 weeks. I am not sure. She was a lampshade cat with a cone on her head.

After she got out and about again there was a time she avoided Mittens. But then she changed that habit! She began attacking and hissing at him randomly whenever she got a chance. She took him by surprise and chased him around, swatting at him. Eventually she had him on the run.

It probably helped that I also never took his side because, you know... he's a naughty cat and he injured Squeek.

But then the two of them spent a few nights sleeping on the same bed in Aime's room who is a bit of a cat whisperer.

Lo and behold, the two kitties are now as thick as thieves and run around everywhere playing.

Right now Squeek is trying to convince Mittens to go play outside...

... But its raining... lol. So he has about zero interest in going outside right now.

The hilarious thing about this cat is how close together his eyes are! He is getting bigger and his face is growing, but his eyes are still the same distance apart! Hahaha.

Here is the rainy rainy jungle out there. I am not keep on going anywhere today. I have plenty of Hiving and writing and painting to catch up on.

As for painting, there are only 42 days left until another big game of Warhammer 40,000 Eternal Carnage where now FOUR players will pit their combined forces against me.

I was out-pointed last time and I will still be outpointed this time AND my army's points went DOWN which is great for tournaments and matched play but this is UN-matched play and I feel like I am bringing less than half their army at this point!

Paints and brushes. Thunderwolves.

So I better get cracking. I only field what is finished and painted in that match, they need to be painted and painted by me. I bought these Thunderwolves from someone and I am repainting them to fit in with my army.
