Hey there folks! Zak Ludick from Cape Town, South Africa here. Myself and Marnus went to the Sword and Board for another game of Warhammer 40k.

This time we were to play a 2000pts battle that would more or less be a competitive game!

We arrived at Sword and Board while to power was out... because... you know... SOUTH AFRICA is the land of constant power cuts.

However, there were plenty people in the hobby shop, playing by torchlight.

Ren and Justin were playing a game of Age of Sigmar while behind them are two guys playing Warhammer 40k.

Meanwhile there were teo other games of warhammer being played downstairs. Upstairs were a massive amount of card-game people as well as another Warhammer 40k game.

So we set up some terrain and started deploying our armies. Our armies were as follows:

Right so we both play Bjorn, we both play Thunderwolves, we both play 3 Dreadnoughts... but then after that things get different. I play vehicles while @xenowolfza is playing more troops on the board.

So let's get cracking!

We rolled for deployment and I won this, selecting to be Attacker. This means that Marnus has to deploy the first unit. We took turns placing our units and then finally it looked like the below pictures:

The Mission we played is called Supply Drop so only the Objectives in the No-Man's Land mattered.

We rolled for first turn and he won that roll.

He proceded to put Oath of Moment on my Thunderwolves and killed everyone except for the Wolf Lord.

I reciprocated by selecting his Ballistus Dreadnought as my first Oath target. I destroyed it. I also managed to kill Canis and the Thunderwolves.

Meanwhile there was a lot of action on the board. It is often difficult to deal with my army if you do not have enough anti-tank.

He did manage to destroy my Redemptor Dreadnought with Murderfang and my one Razorback got half its wounds taken out.

My Wolf Lord was charged by his Lieutenant and Fenrisian Wolves. Miraculously emerged unscathed from that encounter, fell back and charged again, killing the Lieutenant.

He could only play 3 turns but it was a fun game.

@xenowolfza managed to complete the Saga of the Bear
I managed to complete the Saga of the Warrior Born

When the dust settled the scores were thus:

A decisive Victory for me, but I would have liked to see how it would have played out till the end. Next time maybe.
