Good day everyone!

Welcome to the second week's report for the Busy Bees activity group!

I am really busy at work at the moment and I have no idea how I am going to finish all the work that I have set out for me!

The Basic Rules of Activity

  • Activity means posting and commenting within a 30-day time.

  • Posting weekly is recommended.

  • Supporting one another with votes and engagement is encouraged. There is zero enforcement, we just recommend it. If you want people on Hive who will speak and interact with you - just look at the people in this list!

There are a few accounts (like the top Minnows) that have gone inactive that I do NOT take down due to inactivity. This is mainly to give the active Minnows and Redfish something to aim at. It would also be really cool to see you guys catch up to these larger accounts due to your activity vs the inactivity of these accounts.

If you would like to join the list I recommend that you remain active weekly and that you engage with at least some of the members of the Busy Bees.

Re @ecency point rewards: Yeah, like you mentioned, it's gonna be tricky finding creators that have: posted in the last week, grown the least... AND then has an active post < 24hrs.
I see @moclassic ticks all those boxes (sent 150 points for @ecency to vote on https://ecency.com/hive-168869/@moclassic/dressing-during-weekends )... but then problem comes in that 2/3 times Ecency just returns my points without voting.

So... I think for next week I propose:
I'll donate 150 Ecency points directly to a random RedFish (anyone that has made at least 1 post in the last week)... and then they can try use those points on their own future posts in their own time.

Well-deserved SBI's on the way to @hellsveiah and @loadreaper !

Also, as an observation; don't forget that the rewards for posts this week will appear on next week's update, so there's not a direct correlation between posts made and rewards arriving. But having said that, I'd definitely recommend everyone to upvote at least one or two of our fellow Busy Bees every day if you can - curation is a steady, easy to do way to consistently build your Hive Power and help your friends grow at the same time 😀 About 30% of my earnings are from curation....

Yeah... I remember the old days of "Team South Africa"... I got a LOT of support from that group when I was still building my HP... and it helped keep me stay motivated and active. Hoping we can do the same here again.

... Congrats/Sorry @zakludick ... you've been appointed as chief in charge of organising/co-ordinating the group :P

FWIW: Busy coding on a new little bot that will share the curation love in the South African community... gonna go something along the lines of:

  • if you delegate 100HP to the bot, and you have 2, 000HP... then you get a 5% vote
  • if you delegate just 10HP to the bot, but you have just 100HP... then you'll get a 10% vote

i.e. the idea is to favour/grow/motivate/RETAIN the lower HP and grow the community as a whole. Once we have a big enough presence, I can convince sponsors in SA to get onboard... right now, there's just no benefit (in their eyes anyway - I think they're wrong) for the real-world companies to help us out.

Anyway... long enough waffle about something that's still just an idea... let's have a !BEER

That is really cool.

So originally the Busy Bees was only South Africans but then we had a lot of people who are our friends who joined in and were really supportive. So now we are a little cross borders. There are also a bunch of users from Nigeria that got introduced to the Busy Bees by South African users. So it goes...
