Gardening Update - My long work hours are killing my plants!

avatar

Good day everyone.

Today I managed to sneak into my garden between 4am and 5am and tend to it, watering and checking the plants.

This is not yet a fully established veggie garden and I believe that will need to spend more time in it, for it to really flourish.

I have been working long 12 hour shifts at the dock with a 5 hour short one on Sunday. At that point all I wanted to do was rest.

Now that I have had a look at my garden, I can see that there is evidence of my neglect. I have asked my Lords to help, but I can see that they have forgotten.

So additional to this being my second week at the docks, the kids are busy too, preparing for end of year exams.

I might need some advice here...

This veggie box seems to be doing alright.

Some of these tomato plants are nice and strong underneath.

The spearmint is doing well, with a lot of little leaves popping up that were not there before.

This tomato plant however is not doing well...

Does anyone know what this is? Disease? Or is it because of lack of water or something else?

The Green Pepper seedlings are OK, but I think they need to be planted out.

Finally, this gardening bed that I prepared shows GOOD soil health as there are things starting to grow that I did not sow there!

I will need to start planting things there but would have liked to make a bit of a fence around the area or at least a tangible boundary.

That's all from me. I need to go get dressed and run off to the docks again.

Cheers!

Oof sounds like it has been going quite hectic with you! I hope things calm down soon. I am unfortunately too inexperienced to offer any advice!
