FICTION - Mortis Custos Part 88
Introduction
This will probably not be a long one, but another part shall be written today!

Part 88
As Temolach felt the birth of the creature within the walls of the City before him he already knew what he must do. The creation of the creature from his Lord's private realm needed not sacrifice, but preservation and immortality.
This one would be a sublime devotion to the Great Devourer. The dead feasted on the dead and yet none struggled or fought. It was an ordered merging of the flesh.
As skin and muscle was torn from the body of a donor, the flesh was reactivated within the body of the receiver. Their stomachs long ago absorbed into other organs in their bodies, the flesh would animate and fuse with the others.
Once a receiver had consumed enough meat and guts to build a hulking stature, the bones of the donors were also consumed, sometimes direction into their bodies.
This was not happening just once, but many times on the battlefield before him. Hulking amalgamations of dozens of bodies were also moving toward one another. The two nearest to the Necromancer were the first.
Dozens of mouths had appeared on the two hulking masses' skin and as they collided with one another, they set to work. Biting, gnawing and consuming body matter of one another's bodies until the two had seemed to melt into one another.
Something was coming this way through the air. Temolach squinted his watery eyes to focus them. Wings... there were the creatures that had been pestering his hordes. Granted, they had destroyed many hundreds of his undead army, but the ones that were destroyed were only part of a much larger arsenal of undeath that Temolach had under his command.
He watched as another hulking mass of flesh began striding towards the largest conglomeration of flesh. This would take some time still.
He needed a response for the threat from above.
The smoke-like champion of the Lord Avatar was still floating nearby. Unlike the armored one, it had not moved. The latter had sped off towards the wall in a frenzy at the first moment that it had a chance.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere the armored thing had spilled from the smoke and had collapsed on the dirt, it's helmeted face to the sky.
Temolach shrugged. He did not think that help would arrive from these ones.
Instead he formulated his own plan to deal with these flying intruders...
