Hola queridos amigos de hive!
Hello dear friends of hive!

Today I will prepare a delicious guava snack, we can also prepare the banana snack, both are very tasty and easy to prepare. In our state and the rest of the country we find varieties of sweets that have been made from generation to generation, so that the Creole sweets do not lose their essence and is known by the new generations, in the same way we can offer it to the seasonal people who visit us at every time of the year. The guava snacks are sold in bodegas, grocery stores, confectioneries and other places.

Preparación-Preparation

For the preparation of the snack, guavas and sugar are required, this snack can always be prepared since we have this fruit all year round.

Peel the guavas and chop into small pieces, then place the fruit in a pot and add water, and place it on the stove over medium heat.

Let them dissolve to add the sugar, move it with a wooden paddle until we observe that the content looks sticky and comes off easily from the pot, it is time to turn off the stove.

In an aluminum tray or wooden board sprinkle the sugar, to add the guava and with a wet spoon spread and sprinkle sugar again, let it cool and put it in the refrigerator until the next day.

Once the snack is ready, we proceed to cut into small pieces and serve on a plate to enjoy with the family, or wrap the sandwich to give as a gift to people close to us. I hope that at some point you will prepare this tasty snack that both children and adults like.

Hello @zairs16
This recipe is so interesting. The only thing is that I find fruit, especially the ones grown in the tropics to be so sweet, that I have to omit the sugar.

Do you think that this recipe would still be good with no sugar, or perhaps honey?

I'd never seen this snack before and noticed that you mentioned that bananas could be used also.

Have you ever heard of naseberries/chico? I was wondering if they would also work.

I haven't seen red guavas like these since my childhood days.

Guavas are so delicious 😋.

Have you ever tried white guavas?

Hello @zairs16
It's me again 😁

Here are some photos that I took with my phone of the naseberry in my backyard.

Do you know of this fruit?

This naseberry is not fully mature, so it is hard.
When the fruit is ripe, it is soft and sweet 😋

I'm curious to know if this would be a great substitute for your recipe.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you:)
