Age is just A Number

Recently I was staring starring at my little child playing and jumping around happily with no worries at all, I was a little jealous 😁 because I really want to be a child again where I can do whatever and still have someone to take care of my responsibility. I have always been among the folks who wants to grow up fast and be a free bird, if I had new it will be this demanding I won't be in a rush to be an adult. Adulthood is still the biggest scam to me tho, why do we have to grow up?

In Nigeria where I'm from adulthood begins at age 18, at this age it is believed that you are no longer a sucking but old enough to make personal and life decisions for yourself, you can vote and be voted for, you can decide to live alone, you can decide to get married, at this age my country says the ball is now in your court. looking at it in the real world, that age is simply a number, I have come across people who are less than 18 and fending for themselves, taking the right decisions that some adults find difficult to do.
I feel the right age for one to stop being a minor is at the age of 15, at this age in my country majority are out of secondary school and at age 16 they are already in the university where they start making Alot of decisions for themselves with the absence of their parents.

Being an adult and making decisions sometimes depends on the kind of family you come from, some parents are so busy with work that they leave their 10 years old with his or her younger once for 10 hours to cartel for, that child will begin to learn at an early stage to protect himself and his younger little once till the parents arrive, that person is taking responsibility at an early stage of life, that will make the person wiser than a 16 years old who is always in the protection of his parents.

when it comes to maturity age is just a number and it doesn't mean you are matured, aftermath of every of your decision plays a crucial role in accessing your level of maturity, I have heard some adults speak and I'm wondering if they are really adults or they just have the brain of a child in a adult body. And sometimes when some children speak I see the adult in the little body. Age is simply a number....
