Coming out safe.
Traveling is one of my hobbies despite the risks involved in it, every time we get into a car or whatever means of transportation we are in, we put our lives on the line. Everything in life revolves around risk even walking down the street is dangerous.
No one leaves the house with the thought of involving in an accident or having a near-death experience, all these events are unfortunate and happen unexpectedly. An incident I will never forget, whenever I count the things I'm grateful for, this incident always comes to my mind and I would double the gratitude.
Early part of last year I decided to visit my family because I hadn't seen them in a long while, on that faithful day I packed my clothes and some of my necessary items. Left the house and got to the park where the buses were loading and I boarded, I stayed inside the bus at the park for more than two hours waiting for passengers to come board, so after a while the bus was filled up and it was time to move, you know how Nigerian driver does, after taking off the driver stopped at a gas station to fill his tank then the journey started.
So the bus had left the state I was based in and had entered the highway, where all the vehicles were at a very high speed, as the bus was going all of a sudden, a car appeared in front of our bus, from what l saw l think it had come from a by-path and was trying to cross the expressway, the car driver couldn't control the vehicle, maybe it was faulty cause it looked more like it was trekking while other vehicles were coming on high speed, our driver tried to stop his vehicle in order not to hit the car in front of him, unfortunately, the brake wasn't working properly, our driver cursed aloud in a shrieking voice, at that moment everyone inside the vehicle was afraid ( l wasn't excluded) I dont know if I was supposed to pray, I lost track of what to do, now the funny thoughts that came to my head was if I had written my will "knowing fully well I don't have any in the first place", others inside the vehicle have started calling on the names of those they believed in while some were crying and saying things out loud.

Our bus was still coming at full speed, it would have been a head-on crash with the other car but our driver was looking for a means to avoid hitting the car then he turned the steering wheels to the right was still applying the brakes if it would work all to no avail.
In the process of avoiding hitting the car in front of him caused our vehicle to run into the bush and hit a tree causing the vehicle to stop, at that moment I screamed, I thought it was gonna be my last day on earth, and I thought about the pain I would inflict on my siblings if anything happened to me, I was so frightened, I felt my heart beating faster than usual. Luckily other drivers saw what happened and rushed out to our bus, forcefully opened the door and all the passengers ran out when I came out of the vehicle, I looked at the other passengers some of them had little bruises then I searched myself if I was gonna see any bruise to my greatest surprise I didn't, another bus arrived at the scene and was able to carry all of us to our destination when I got home I didn't tell my siblings about it, even till date I didn't tell them about my experience I just kept it to myself cause I wouldn't want to put any grain of fear in them.
Then later that night, I was now having some pain so I went to the pharmacy to get some drugs which were able to lessen the pain I was having, and the next day I woke up strong. I learned going out and coming in safely every day is a privilege.

Omo, that was a close call. Thank God the fuel tank did not explode and cause a fire, that would have been the end of it. Whatever happened to the man whose car your driver was trying to avoid? I hope the driver wasn't hurt in any way either?
A will? Lol... if not that this post was a serious one, that point caused me to laugh... Hehehe
The other driver wasn't hurt in any way, I didn't even notice him after the whole incident though.
Please don't laugh thank God you know it's a serious post 😁😁😁
Thank God for everything
Hehehe 😁😁😁

That was one heck of an experience. I'm really glad nothing terrible happened to you or anyone in the bus.
I can only imagine the things running through your mind in that moment.
Yeah, so many thoughts in my head but the major one was my survival though.
damn, you were lucky, the accident that took some people's life or even made their bus explode was not even up to that...
Yeah, I find myself lucky to have come out alive, like I was very scared.
Thank you for stopping by my post
Oh my, that was really close and you must have been so scared, sorry you had to go through that. You all were very lucky and you were even luckier to not even get a single bruise, you would have had no choice but to tell your family all about it.
Do you think I should have told them cause my siblings worry too much, I know if I had told them they would even taken me to the hospital that night but I didn't want to bother them.
It's because they care, I think you should have told them regardless. It's just good to know you were truly okay. You know there are times that people will go through this kind of thing and will think they are okay, meanwhile, another thing is going on inside their body. So, it's just good to not take the risk at all.
Yeah, you're very correct there, so I'm gonna be telling them when anything occurs in my life.
Thanks, dear.
You're welcome sis😊❤️
