Welcome to my music blog. This week #236 on the Hive Open Mic we talk about "Rumours". I am pleased to share my trumpet interpretation of "Somewhere Only We Know", a pop-rock ballad by the British band Keane. The song was composed by Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin and Richard Hughes. The instrumentation is minimalist with the piano as the protagonist. The rhythm is moderate and constant with a simple and repetitive drum pattern. This piece of music is in the key of A major. The lyrics are about love and nostalgia, expressing the desire to escape from reality and find a special place to share intimate moments with someone you love. Tim Rice-Oxley was inspired by David Bowie's song "Heroes", and he began experimenting with the piano until he shaped the melody. This song has been used in various television series and in the film "He's Just Not That Into You". In addition, its melody has been used in numerous videos to create a melancholic and nostalgic atmosphere.

Bienvenidos a mi blog musical. Esta semana #236 en el Hive Open Mic hablamos sobre los "Rumores". Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Somewhere Only We Know», una balada pop-rock de la banda británica Keane. La canción fue compuesta por Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin y Richard Hughes. La instrumentación es minimalista con el piano como protagonista. El ritmo es moderado y constante con un patrón de batería sencillo y repetitivo. Esta pieza musical se encuentra en la tonalidad de A mayor.
