Es un placer compartir con ustedes, mi interpretación en el Hive Music Festival en la Semana 3 Tercera Ronda. Ha sido un evento maravilloso donde he podido escuchar a personas talentosas, disciplinadas y que aman la música. La canción que traigo se titula «La media vuelta», compuesta por el compositor José Alfredo Jiménez, y un icono del Bolero Ranchero. La versión de Luis Miguel es una de mis favoritas. La letra evoca varios aspectos humanos como el orgullo, el pesar por una ruptura de una relación y la nostalgia como elemento característico del Bolero clásico. Quiero agradecer al Padre Celestial por su inspiración divina, a todas las personas que me han apoyado en el transcurso de este festival, y a los organizadores de este magno evento.

It is a pleasure to share with you, my performance at the Hive Music Festival in Week 3 Third Round. It has been a wonderful event where I have been able to listen to talented, disciplined people who love music. The song that I bring is called “La media vuelta”, composed by the composer José Alfredo Jiménez, and an icon of Bolero Ranchero. Luis Miguel's version is one of my favorites. The lyrics evoke various human aspects such as pride, regret over a breakup of a relationship and nostalgia as a characteristic element of classic Bolero. I want to thank Heavenly Father for his divine inspiration, all the people who have supported me throughout this festival, and the organizers of this great event.

Hay varios aspectos de la música que no se ven a simple vista. Cuando vemos un intérprete, solo se ven los resultados de una vida de constancia, de práctica, de sudor y lágrimas. Hoy quiero hablar sobre algunas características y atributos de un músico. Recuerdo que era tan solo un niño cuando comencé a tocar trompeta, no podía levantarla por su peso. Al soplarla por primera vez, note que no sería un trabajo fácil. Al principio me tomo como dos semanas para tocar un par de notas. Como cuando uno aprende a caminar, es necesario gatear y desarrollar los músculos para poder caminar y luego correr. La práctica de un instrumento requieren una vida metódica, y en constante evolución. A medida que pasa el tiempo, va creciendo el amor por lo que hacemos. Creo que uno de los atributos fundamentales del artista es amar lo que hace. Sin amor nada tendría sentido. También se debe cultivar resiliencia y persistencia, muchas veces se hacen cayos en las manos, debemos soportar irritación de las cuerdas vocales, ronquera, afonía y disfonía. A pesar de todas las dificultades, la función tiene que continuar. El músico debe trabajar diligentemente, practicar mucho, y estar en constante aprendizaje. Hay varias diferencias entre ser aficionado, amateur y profesional. Sin embargo, quiero decirles que un profesional no lo define un diploma, es una suma de ética, compromiso, experiencia y conocimiento.

There are several aspects of music that are not seen with the naked eye. When we see an interpreter, we only see the results of a lifetime of perseverance, practice, sweat and tears. Today I want to talk about some characteristics and attributes of a musician. I remember I was just a kid when I started playing the trumpet, I couldn't lift it because of its weight. When blowing it for the first time, notice that it would not be an easy job. At first it took me like two weeks to play a couple of notes. As when one learns to walk, it is necessary to crawl and develop the muscles to be able to walk and then run. The practice of an instrument requires a methodical life, and in constant evolution. As time passes, the love for what we do grows. I think that one of the fundamental attributes of the artist is to love what he does. Without love nothing would make sense. Resilience and persistence must also be cultivated, many times keys are made in the hands, we must endure irritation of the vocal cords, hoarseness, aphonia and dysphonia. Despite all the difficulties, the function has to continue. The musician must work diligently, practice hard, and be constantly learning. There are several differences between being an amateur, an amateur, and a professional. However, I want to tell you that a professional is not defined by a diploma, it is a sum of ethics, commitment, experience and knowledge.
