Hola amigos de Hive, hoy le quiero mostrar más cosas bellas de la capital de todos los cubanos La Habana.
La Plaza Vieja, diseñada en 1559, es la plaza más ecléctica desde el punto de vista arquitectónico de La Habana. Se encuentra en La Habana Vieja y, en ella, el barroco cubano convive con el Art Nouveau de inspiración gaudiniana.
En sus orígenes la plaza era conocida como Plaza Nueva y se utilizaba para realizar ejercicios militares, carnavales, pregones y cualquiera que fueren las vicisitudes sociales de la época. Luego, funcionó como mercadillo al aire libre y, actualmente, se encuentra salpicada de restaurantes, cafés, bares y cervecerías.
Hoy en día la Plaza Vieja de La Habana se muestra colorida y en su máximo esplendor. En ella podrás encontrar lugares interesantes como la Cámara Oscura, un ingenioso dispositivo óptico desde donde podrás disfrutar de hermosas vistas a la ciudad desde lo alto de su torre de 35 metros.
La Plaza Vieja y las calles de sus alrededores cuentan con hermosas galerías, muy típicas de La Habana, con arcos de medio punto y vidrieras de colores.
En las inmediaciones a esta plaza se encuentran lugares interesantes como el Planetario, la Fototeca de Cuba, el Museo de Naipes, el Centro de Arte La Casona, o el Centro Cultural Pablo de la Torriente Brau.
La plaza representó el primer intento planificado de ampliación de la ciudad. Constituyó un área utilizada para distintas modalidades, como zona de residencia, comercial y recreativa, sin contar con construcciones religiosas o de tipo político–militar.

The Plaza Vieja, designed in 1559, is the most eclectic square from the architectural point of view of Havana. It is located in Old Havana and, in it, Cuban Baroque coexists with Gaudí-inspired Art Nouveau.
In its origins, the square was known as Plaza Nueva and was used for military exercises, carnivals, street celebrations and whatever the social vicissitudes of the time were. It was later used as an open-air market and is now dotted with restaurants, cafes, bars and beer gardens.
Today Havana's Plaza Vieja is colorful and in its maximum splendor. Here you can find interesting places like the Camera Obscura, an ingenious optical device from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the city from the top of its 35-meter tower
The Plaza Vieja and the surrounding streets have beautiful galleries, very typical of Havana, with semicircular arches and stained glass windows.
In the vicinity of this square are interesting places such as the Planetarium, the Photo Library of Cuba, the Playing Cards Museum, the La Casona Art Center, or the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center.
The square represented the first planned attempt to expand the city. It constituted an area used for different modalities, as a residential, commercial and recreational zone, without religious or political-military constructions.
