Thanalorian Scion - Splinterlands Art Contest 277

Saludos queridos amigos de Alien Art Hive y Splinterlands!
El día de hoy es de gran gusto presentarles mi entrada al concurso de Splinterlands en su ronda 277, mi elección para esta semana ha sido Elandria Thanalorian, es una joven de casta noble de la casa Morth'lana y quien desde su niñez ha sido entrenada en las artes mágicas, lo que la convierten en una estupenda hechicera de los altos elfos.

Greetings dear friends of Alien Art Hive and Splinterlands!
Today it is with great pleasure that I present my entry to the Splinterlands contest in its 277th round, my choice for this week has been Elandria Thanalorian, she is a young woman of noble caste of the Morth'lana house and who since her childhood has been trained in the magical arts, which makes her a great sorceress of the high elves.

Elegí esta carta porque siento gran fascinación por los elfos, y creí que esta sería una buena oportunidad para dibujar una que además es una gran hechicera, en vista de su habilidad mágica decidí dibujarla invocando algún hechizo, como se muestra en la carta, es así como di con esta pose mientras hace algunos gestos con sus manos moviendo a voluntad el líquido.

Una vez hecho el dibujo procedí a colocar la base de color, para lo tome los como referencia los colores originales de la carta.

I chose this card because I feel great fascination for elves, and I thought this would be a good opportunity to draw one that is also a great sorceress, in view of her magical ability I decided to draw her invoking some spell, as shown in the card, that's how I came up with this pose while she makes some gestures with her hands moving the liquid at will.

Once the drawing was done I proceeded to place the color base, for this I took the original colors of the card as a reference.

Seguidamente procedí a colorear el rostro, el color de su piel es de un color muy pálido, así que para elegí colores en una clave tonal similar para mantener su piel suave y delicada, ademas su expresión serena me hace recordar los retratos de vírgenes y santos.

A continuación comencé a colorear el cabello, aquí añadí algunos colores un poco mas saturados, quería hacer lucir al cabello muy sedoso y brillante, para ello use un pincel que tiene la textura de cerdas, lo cual me ayudo mucho a hacer las hebras de su cabello y difuminar los tonos para hacerlo lucir brillante.

Next I proceeded to color the face, the color of her skin is a very pale color, so I chose colors in a similar tonal key to keep her skin soft and delicate, also her serene expression reminds me of the portraits of virgins and saints.

Next I started to color the hair, here I added some colors a little more saturated, I wanted to make the hair look very silky and shiny, for this I used a brush that has the texture of bristles, which helped me a lot to make the strands of her hair and blur the tones to make it look shiny.

Lo siguiente fue colorear toda su vestimenta la cual se compone de una armadura con un aspecto muy femenino y bonito, en primer lugar comencé coloreando el metal plateado de la parte superior de su armadura, haciendo un degradado de grises para crear la superficie plateada.

Así mismo coloree las partes de tela de su vestimenta ubicando el foco de luz desde el lado derecho de la imagen de frente al personaje, y finalmente comencé a colorear las partes doradas del traje usando nuevamente un degradado de blanco, amarillo y marrones para crear la patina brillante del material.

The next thing was to color all her clothing which is composed of a very feminine and pretty looking armor, first I started coloring the silver metal of the upper part of her armor, making a gray gradient to create the silver surface.

I also colored the cloth parts of her clothing by placing the light spotlight from the right side of the image facing the character, and finally I started coloring the golden parts of the suit using again a gradient of white, yellow and browns to create the shiny patina of the material.

Y ahora procedí a colorear la masa de agua que esta conjurando entre sus manos, la verdad estaba insegura de este detalle, tenia que recrear la transparencia del agua y no sabia exactamente como lograrlo, pero por suerte todo resultó bastante bien a la primera lo cual me hizo sentir muy bien.

Por ultimo sólo restaba pequeños detalles aquí y allá y estuvo listo para presentarlo al concurso, la verdad me hizo muy feliz hacer este dibujo, aunque me tomo mas tiempo del que había planeado, bien por el servicio eléctrico como pro algunos malestares que presente durante la semana, pero aquí esta con tiempo suficiente, espero sea del agrado de todos, tanto como lo ha sido para mi!

And now I proceeded to color the mass of water that is conjuring between his hands, the truth was unsure of this detail, I had to recreate the transparency of the water and did not know exactly how to do it, but luckily everything turned out pretty well the first time which made me feel very good.

Finally I only had to add some small details here and there and it was ready to present it to the contest, the truth made me very happy to make this drawing, although it took me more time than I had planned, both for the electric service and for some discomfort that I had during the week, but here it is with enough time, I hope everyone likes it, as much as it has been for me!
